You are so very welcome... Enjoy it. :)
Awesome picture, Todd. 🤠
I'm really enjoying everybody's old fishing gear.
My dream is to acquire an old roll top desk and fill the cubbies with antique fishing gear.

I think many of us here have been fortunate enough that if we only kept the knives we’ve been gifted by fellow Porch members, we’d still have a pretty good collection. šŸ™‚

I do occasionally get that feeling of ā€œdang I’ve got a lot of knives,ā€ but I haven’t yet reached the downsizing point yet. 😁

Good looking Harness Jack there, Paul!

I’m with you there, Harry. Shore Lunch walleye is hard to beat!

Back in high school, long before I lived in MN, we used to come up here to fish for a week every summer. We weren’t very good at catching walleye, but when we did, that was a good day. (Of course, even the days we didn’t catch a thing were pretty good days.) šŸ™‚
A bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work .

Harry

Out and about yesterday with my bike jacket EDC.

This time its a Wenger 78 (date of my first tour in N.I.) I love this one, just a small lanyard to grip and pull.
Very hard to get the thin paracord through the hole.
These where original designed to be used as a plumb bob for grenades launched from the swiss army rifle, what cord they used I can not imagine it would have to be so very thin.
Telescopic space pen and SAK fit neatly together in this pouch taking minimal pocket space.

The eyelets, present on all variants of the "1951 Models" and up to variant 5 of the "1961 Models" were designed so the knife could be used as a plumb-bob by introducing a string.

The Swiss Army requested this modification, to determine the aiming angle when using the assault rifle "FASS 57" as a grenade launcher.

Grenade launcher FASS 57 and the soldier’s knife as a plumb-bob

When the Swiss Army adopted the new FASS 90 rifle the eyelet became redundant, it was abandoned on variants 6 and 7 of the "1961 Models".

That is a great piece of history I had no clue about. Thanks for sharing, Johnny!

My Todd bigfish64 bigfish64 inspired carry. The knives and zippo were awesome gifts from him. I figured with all of the recent fishing talk and pictures I’d incorporate my favorite rod and reel. PLUS Baseball is back so I could bring out my favorite slip. I’m hoping to go to spring training Monday
