There is no accounting for taste I guess . Crappies are O.K. , but I much prefer Walleye and IMO Shore Lunch Walleye is the best . But maybe you have never had Walleye .

Harry

I have to agree with you Old Engineer; I think Walleye taste the best too. But I’m still partial to Crappie fishing. They’re the easiest to fillet in my opinion, and I generally eat them two to three times a month from April to November. Lookin’ forward to the spawn!😃

Dadburnit, Harry! As I was typing that, I said to myself, “Don’t forget walleye-we like walleye a lot.”
And the the other voice in my head said “Don’t worry-someone will mention walleye”.
Can’t go wrong either way, so I say get both as Mr Crappie71 Crappie71 has shown so well.

Walleye involve a boat and a long drive, Crappie are much more accessable for me...

And Crappie71 Crappie71 , nice 36! I’ve wanted one of those Tyler T grips for a while.

Something made me think of fishing while poking through a cigar box, so I thought I’d better have this old Hammer Brand Fish Knife with me today. And this Primble serpentiney trapperish jacklike thing with pretty bone that looks so remarkably like a Schrade 294 that the dna is obvious.64ED9634-4BD7-4513-A4F8-2C7310EDA8F2.jpeg1022CCF8-4F70-4AEE-9611-D632FEA28150.jpeg Have a great day, eh?

The one knife to rule them all. That one is an all time favorite. It has everything you could want, a beautiful and classic shape, great shield, a gorgeous awl, and the perfect fat spear. It even has a nice etch which adds to the character of the knife. Is it Ebony or another type of wood? It would be cool to collect all of Charlie’s Harness Jacks.

Good luck if you let some of your knives go. It is more work than you would think.
Thanks Travis, I agree the knife checks a lot of boxes. It is ebony and I have mini purged before and I agree it is hard, not only from the time you invest but regrets, albeit small that follow parting with certain knives.
