And the faithfully monitored blade storage chest yielded this one from 2015 for Wooden Wednesday ...

I love that one, Jim. It’s hard to beat a shadow pattern with a slim clip and sheepsfoot. That one was happening right around the time I discovered BladeForums and I was too new to realize what I was missing.
I like it a lot, less maintenance. I still love to watch a blade patina but I don’t miss it as much as I thought. 😊
I have the same feeling about my Eureka. I love the patina on my carbon knives, but the stainless on the Eureka is certainly worry-free and stays sharp.
I can have it either way.
I do like a blade that patinas, but I also enjoy a blade that keeps an edge for a long time... D2 Maybe?
I’ve heard it said that D2 takes a bad edge and holds it forever. 😁

When I decided I wanted to start collecting knives, (about 6 years ago), I went the cheap route and picked up a dozen or more Rough Riders. This stockman may have been the 2nd or 3rd of my pickups and not at all a disappointment. Nice F&F, no gaps at springs/liners, very nice blade action and snap, plus pocket friendly with almost sunken joints. I dyed the orange bone with some brown RIT a few years back to give it a mottled look. The one thing I would change if I could would be to eliminate the match strike nail nicks. All things considered, it's a good knife to carry on occasion.

If I admitted it was a decision, then I couldn’t feign surprise at the accumulation.
Seeing yours made me want to carry my Schrade Russell Commemorative Barlow and the Schrade Barlow . I agree with you on all of your points . Some day I will have to post a photo of all of my Russell Barlows and the Commemoratives that I have . Thank you for your kind comment on my Old Russell .That Old Original Russell that I showed was bought in 2014 for $ 5.00 , down from $ 9.00 that he wanted . I drove back 65 miles a week later to buy it after I found out what it was . Below is what I have in my pockets today and if you look real close you can see the same Dimples in the Covers . I carry them almost never because they are 47 years old .

The Serial Number

Harry
There was quite a lot of inbreeding among American knife makers. I’m sure my 206’s delrin has the exact same simulated woodgrain as yours. I’ll look later.
I love the bolsters on both of those!
I like your Old Cat my friend .

Harry
Appreciate that, Harry. It’s my only Cattaraugus folder, but I can see why you keep an eye out for them.

Impressed by the trio

But particularly like the Stag Dam Wharncliffe, it's a Lloyd I think? Could you say something else about its characteristics, carry, feel etc? I could use one.....;)

Thanks, Will
Yes it is a Lloyd. I like it alot, feels good in the hand big enough to get a good grip but slim enough it carries well. The blade is a good size i think, small enough for fine detain cutting like stripping wires but big enough to cut shrink tube and hoses. I definitely recommend getting one if you are on the fence about it. If you want any specific pictures or have any questions feel free to pm me. Have a good day.
