What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Modernal… 🤔

Well…. some of you noted this purchase here in our exchange. It’s my first custom and it’s something I’ve always searched for as I do like the bullnosed 71s.
This one is smaller in every way sporting a really comfy 3-finger grip, smooth as glass G10 covers, D2 steel throughout with relieved liners, brass bird’s eye with a SS pivot pin and made by one man over an approx. 48 hr. period.
It’s w/t is firm, yet smooth. It’s also pinch-able with a unique clip-point and a strong 6ish pull, it’s push to close is almost identical.
Considering the value here, it’s really a no-brainer with today’s prices on any U.S. made blade, and I thank Choppaman Choppaman for the effort required in a great price & perfect delivery.
I was going to wait ‘till Monday and post it with a 71 side to side for a comparo… but what the hey… eh !
So finally, my new Gene Wiseman sodbuster…

A most pleasant Thursday to All:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I just thought that was funny when I heard that.
It really was funny, I'm going to use it some day. 🤣

It's really a beautiful knife... I was so tempted to buy it.
I'm glad you stepped up and put me out of my misery. I mean who wouldn't like a Sodbuster with a Clip blade?
I'm not sure it's a Modernal though... It has Traditional pinned construction, not screw-together. And G10 is just fancy plastic. I'm saying, "Traditional". ;)

Glad to be an un-enabler for once John
😂:thumbsup::thumbsup:
From what I’ve read, the G10 is more of a fancy-dancey glass 🤪
Kool…. As I don’t like modernal phrasing anyway
🧐:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Lurvely flipper-bait as well there today 🤩:thumbsup:

Yes it is a Lloyd. I like it alot, feels good in the hand big enough to get a good grip but slim enough it carries well. The blade is a good size i think, small enough for fine detain cutting like stripping wires but big enough to cut shrink tube and hoses. I definitely recommend getting one if you are on the fence about it. If you want any specific pictures or have any questions feel free to pm me. Have a good day.

Great knife, Gus. I'd agree with John that it is more traditional than modern.
I'm going to make an effort to carry my "Flipper Bait" more often... it deserves it.
Glad to see your Flipper Bait out for a stroll today, John.

I'm going with a three blade Thursday knife thanks to John.

Lol... 🤣
K390 then... time for the Traditional market to adopt it. 😎
Do you have any knives with K390? I'm impressed with the M390 in various Italian knives I have. Other than chromium content, I think they're similar.

What brought about C.G.B. Spender? 👽

From what I’ve read, the G10 is more of a fancy-dancey glass 🤪
I think of G10 as synthetic Micarta.

Incredible pic :D :)
Happy White Wednesday again.
Kinda weird... I get the urge to carry it on Tuesday evening, not even thinking the next day could be White Wednesday.
It's a nice day for a White Wednesday John ;)
Grabbed these two GECs covered in Osage and Ebony today. :)
Wonderful Wooden Wednesday choices JJ :)
Beautiful Barlow my friend :)
Thank you Taylor, it's always good to see your hartshead Barlow :)

We're back into winter here! Not checking my pockets carefully this morning, led to an accidental Double Lambsfoot Day! :)

Glad to see it end up in good hands. Beautiful.

We're going to town today but we'll be getting a later start than usual because we fancy Mexican food and the Mexican restaurant doesn't open until noon. After we chow down, we'll pick up our local, weekly, news paper and then head home. Since this trip isn't an going to be challenging, I'll be totin this Texas Jack.
