What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm likin' that little anvil Peregrin Peregrin . Can't seem to get to those fast enough in the flea markets

I now have one of those sharpening thingies though - I love it!

My Father in law made that mini anvil when he worked as a blacksmith for the New York Central Railroad, back in the 1950s and 60s. We've got a few other tools that he made.
I'm really happy I got my worksharp too!

Those Barlows that Boker is putting out lately are so nice 👍
Thanks Bart, copper patinas so fast it’s already changing colors. It’s going to be fun seeing how it develops. 😊
Brass and Fire... Great Pair. 🤠
Thanks John. 😊👍
So, Texas jacks again tomorrow? It’s only weird if it doesn’t work 🤣
Absolutely! No more weird than “Gloria” or “Take Me Home Country Roads.” 🤣

This one was lost at a local park for a few weeks. When it was found it was a little rusty and missing the shield.

If you go to the GEC Rendevous (sp?) Travis Travman Travman , you can have Howard or one of his employees reset a new shield in that. Looks like it'll take a standard UN-X-LD shield. Failing that, just color the shield well with a dark brown magic marker and call it good. Here's what I did with a Scout Trapper that lost it's shield. I left the hole unfilled as it gives it character.

We're having company for a few days. An old Air Force buddy and his wife are coming to visit from York, Maine.
I told him to bring his knives that might need sharpening.

That's very cool  I have a Sheffield one here on my desk, but it doesn't have that much character. I bought it off a pal of mine in the market, together with a couple of others. Left them in my bag, and forgot about them. I was carrying them round for more than a week! 🤣
Great pic

Double Lambsfoot Day for me tomorrow :)

Thanks, Jack. It's a nice remembrance of a fine man.

That must have been one heavy bag! ;)
