Congrats; that's a stunner! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Slacker... 🤣

Beautiful Chestnut Mini Trapper, GT. 🤠
Thanks, John, for the mini trapper props. :)
No doubt I have the slacker gene, but I think the bigger problem is I just don't use my time very efficiently in my geezerhood.🤓

You are the ultimate mad scientist of all of the knife realms. Genius dome of the knife world.

Me…opens my drawer in the morning…slobbers…picks a knife…indecisively changes my mind twice…set for the day.

I love how you operate GT!

Good to see you posting again, Gary and nice chestnut trapper. That sounds very organized. I pick out my knife and clothes the night before because I get up before my wife. Generally I say “what am I doing tomorrow and does it require a certain knife?” If not I say “ what do I feel like carrying tomorrow?”
Do you have an aspirin, by any chance ?
You made me think too much GT !
……………….. but, if it works for you, keep it up !  🤣

maybe you got hurt on the rail ? My daily picks are not near that scientific F-3 =2 ;) 🤣
There's the problem for me, Jon & Bart & Primble. Without my schedule, I'd be changing my mind a dozen times each morning trying to decide what knives to carry; that was taking up way too much time. So making up a schedule when I had some spare time and then just using it once a week ended up being a real time-saver (and anxiety-reducer 😁).

It'll be easier if you just stick a trapper in your pocket every day for the next few years. Your system is complicated, Gary!
Following a prescribed schedule is actually simple as can be, once it's set up, Vince. ;)
And my system is so fair and equitable; once I started acquiring several knives, I felt compelled to give them all approximately equal carry time.

Storm clouds were rolling in this afternoon. I carried my Eureka today.

Fantastic photo of your Eureka and cattle in the field with the dark clouds rolling in!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

New arrival for Tuesday

Congrats on your new Moose!:cool::thumbsup:
I really like the round bolsters and the spear/clip combo!

It has almost become tradition to break in a new GEC with Iris’ nightly apple cadence. Love this knife

I always enjoy your shots of Iris getting her apple (and the drool napkin on the floor 🤓)!:cool::thumbsup:

Looks like a pair of faithful companions, Jeff!:cool::cool:

Good Morning Porch Friends

My Lambsfoot for the day...

My GEC knife for the day...

My Case knife for the day, and the one I'll carry to work...
Terrific trio, John! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

I think I like the Big Uns more than the Standard sized Lambsfoot knives.
The Lambsfoot is a working pattern, and the bigger knife feels like it can do more work.
Thanks for sharing your opinion, John; I was kind of surprised to see what your preference turned out to be.:thumbsup:🤓

Splendid pair of Böker Barlows, José!:thumbsup::cool:
I don't remember seeing a Böker Barlow with Bunny Bolster before!

Whatever method you used to choose your knives, Jon, you picked a pair of winners!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

A couple of Schade's today

Dynamite duo of old Schrades, Steve! 😲:thumbsup:

It doesn’t matter what knife/knives I decide to drop in my pocket. Some days I just don’t pull one out to actually use it.
And there are other days when something else gets heavy use. Yesterday, and likely today, was one of those days. I spent the day digging out weeds getting the garden beds ready, and used my homemade Hori Hori knife, which is a traditional Japanese garden knife.3920C7DA-AE0D-498A-92CD-56249831BBAA.jpeg I ground it out of an old carbon steel heavy mower blade. Really great tool. Sorry about the dried mud on the Hickory handle!
I got roughly half of the garden done, but since it was ninety degrees (farenheit For you Euros) I came close to giving myself a case of heat stroke. Maybe today I’ll just plant these beds, and tackle the rest on a cooler day.
