Thanks, Gary. I can see how the schedule would be good to make sure everything gets carried.
It doesn’t matter what knife/knives I decide to drop in my pocket. Some days I just don’t pull one out to actually use it.
And there are other days when something else gets heavy use. Yesterday, and likely today, was one of those days. I spent the day digging out weeds getting the garden beds ready, and used my homemade Hori Hori knife, which is a traditional Japanese garden knife.View attachment 1815134 I ground it out of an old carbon steel heavy mower blade. Really great tool. Sorry about the dried mud on the Hickory handle!
I got roughly half of the garden done, but since it was ninety degrees (farenheit For you Euros) I came close to giving myself a case of heat stroke. Maybe today I’ll just plant these beds, and tackle the rest on a cooler day.
Cool garden knife, Jeff. I like how you put the mounting hole in the middle of the blade. It looks like some kind of maker’s mark.
I bet your moustache will be well groomed today. 🤠
I try 😁

This one was lost at a local park for a few weeks. When it was found it was a little rusty and missing the shield.

Let us know if GEC fixed this, if you decide to send it back to the factory for repair. I would be interested in knowing. I might offer to pay for repair, if it were mine, and see how it goes. ;)☺️

I am assuming that this is your lost knife found, since you said it was missing for a few weeks.

Good Morning Porch Friends

My Lambsfoot for today...

My GEC knife for the day...

My Case knife for the day...
I didn’t notice the tang stamp on your new favorite Lambfoot before. It’s none of my business how you got your paws on it, but I’m happy for you!

I had to use the center section because I wanted that curve for a slight trowel like blade. The ends of the blade flatten for the cutting edge, with the uplift on the opposite side, and without a forge to hammer those out and re-temper it, I had to use the middle. At first, I didn’t like the hole, but now I do.

Went to open a can of dog food this morning, and the tab popped right off. I was about to head over to the electric can opener, but thought -- why should I do that, when I could do it "old school"? :D

So, Case Scout knife to the rescue! 👍

For the rest of the day, this 56 will be in the pocket...

Love that 56!

Let me know when you start your mail-in knife sharpening service. ;)
Beautiful pair of Totes. 🤠
I'm getting more confident that I'll have consistently good results, John. So far it's been my knives and our families kitchen knives. But, I am retired, and unless things really go to heck I intend to remain so!;)
That said, if you have an old beater or two, you have my address! :D
