What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Brisa Kephart once again. My go-to outdoors knife.

Rachel, that knife combo is HOT! 😁:thumbsup:
You're harvesting beans already??!! 😲
Yep! Our last freeze was in February. Beans will produce in summer, but peas only have a short window before it's too hot for them.
Thanks for the kind words. :) I'm working on a new rotation schedule, but this time I want it to assign me some of my favorite knives more often and my not-so-favorite knives less frequently.
Perhaps one of your categories should be "Favorites" 🤔 💡

I don't have a printed schedule, but I'm rotating through small fixed blades. Today, it's a markesharp with my crude homemade pocket sheath.

Sliced open my new box of Pepperidge Farm Gold Goldfish with my Aces & Eights Bayou Trapper last night and it did such a good job, I'll carry it today. Actually, I've been carrying it in my back pocket for the last week or so and using it when a suitable occasion arose. The Goldfish are easy for me to chew/crush between my tongue and teeth so, with this 4-pound box of them it looks like I'll be in snack heaven for awhile. I'm glad they came in three bags and won't go stale as I work my way through each silver bag.

Ed, I don’t know what it is about those goldfish, but I’ve been eating them as a snack in my lunch just about every day for the last 20 years and I still look forward to them every day.

Yep, they're lip smacking good. I really like these with the real cheddar cheese. It's a good thing I do. I've got 4-pounds of them to go through.

Carrying a 74 Mustang today. Beautiful morning here and Iosage & 74 knife - 1.jpegosage bow 22 - 1.jpeg spent it on the patio finishing a smoke tanned leather handle wrap with some beading work on my most recently made osage bow. Life has been busy here and I haven't been around the porch much lately. Our kitchen remodel is now done and the house is back in order so I may have more time on my hands. Have a great Saturday all. :)

I recently became aware of a local, mom and pop outdoor store about 3 miles from my front door. They claim to be one of the few independant outdoor stores left in the country. I had a little time to kill on this rainy saturday, so I decided to check it out. There were lots of Benchmades, Spydercos and ZTs, but I also found a few slip joints tucked away in a back cabinet. I wasn't in the market for another knife right now, but in the interest of supporting a local business, I decided to get this Boker stockman.

It had been in that cabinet for a while because the bolsters were yellowed. A quick wipe with a cape cod cloth solved that.
