Wow~ you don’t waste time. Out of my league, but I sure enjoy the pictures from those who put together nice collections. Good luck on finding that final one!

screened porch screened porch ~ Jer, I messed up the quoteing trying to comment on your seat cane. Back after my daughter had knee surgery, I bought a lightweight tripod with a canvas seat for her. It was a life saver. And it was collapsible with a shoulder strap for Dad. Now that I’m a wee bit older, I’m thinking I should find where I put it. For me!

Did your neuromystic think your aphasia was kicked off by dehydration? I sincerely hope that’s all it was, buddy! This is the season for a lot of water. I make myself stop every hour and drink a quart of our sweet well water. I come close to heat stroke if I don’t.
I hope you’re able to get back to the farm soon.

Sorry, multiple photo dump Monday.

One of my old short line 23 jacks. Big and sturdy, and not elegant, pretty, or light, but a favorite.View attachment 1819879View attachment 1819880View attachment 1819881I found a knife yesterday! Last fall, I made some new beds for my garden. Can’t eat grass, you know! No sod sripping, plowing, or tilling ~ I put down cardboard to smother the sod, and buried it with a thick layer of manure and compost, then fall planted a cover crop, which I chopped up and turned in this spring. Planting my tomatoes, using a trowel to make a hole for each one, I turned up this Official Bot Scout knife. It had apparently been dropped into the grass, and was in the process of enriching the mineral content of the soil. I never had a white scout knife, and my wife and I do not remeber either of the boys having one either. If it belonged to the previous owner, it would have to have been there at least 35 years.
Hit it with a wire brush, sprayed it down with penetrating oil, and it’s now bathing in kerosene in a refired beans can I dug out of the recycling bin.

Great find there! Can’t wait to see the “finished” product you end up with. Also, love the top picture, I got a good chuckle out of it.
Great knives Jeremy, and the phrase is hilarious. 😎👍

Yeah, I’m ready for more seasonal temps as well Mike. That is some nice looking Micarta. 😎👍

Nice photo John. 😎👍

Some Micarta for Monday.

Thanks Todd. The half whittler did everything I asked it to last week, but I’m thankful to be back home with more options. Great pair you have with you today.

Wow!!!! I am astounded that the shield looks as well as it does. Make sure you post progress photos on that baby!
Yes, I’m surprised it still has the shield. It looks like the blades are stainless, but those poor springs!
I’ll gladly share pics of the cleanup, but I’ll just let it soak for now, because I have seeds to plant. 😬
34OT...it so often goes back to very simple for me, these are such a value, saw another near new one at an antique store yesterday for $14 and now have more than a life time supply...I give them to people sometimes hoping they will get the fever and carry on the hobby...
Cheers for Monday people!
Wise move. You could lose one in the garden. And $14 was a smashing deal.
I read somewhere that the 34 was Schrade’s top seller of all time. Don’t know if that’s true, but certainly makes sense.

I have to agree that I saw more 34OT's and 8OT's in the hands of men I was around as a kid....cool find in the Garden btw Amir, I have found knives here and there too, and always an exciting happenstance...once found a knife two days in a row, nothing special but fun! And I once found a very nice Boker stockman (7881 maybe) and I was about 9 or 10....that started my fever lol! Cheers😊

I think that what it was isn't an issue, since she knows what it wasn't. She's sending me for more bloodwork, though, since I was still mopping and mowing yesterday.

Jack Black Jack Black thank you! I figured I need something slim for the suit, I already had too much stuff in me pockets anyway. 😅
It's not often I wear a suit these days Isk, but the last time I did, I had to leave my reading glasses at home. It doesn't take much to fill up suit pockets 😁
If I had a trophy blonde to drive my white Rolls with a Jeremo license plate, your dad's disparagements would wound me not a whit.
Me neither Jer! 😁 The son of one of my neighbours used to have a fancy sports car with a personalised plate. Times must be hard, because the sports car has gone, and the plate is now on his works van! 🤣👍
Good Morning Porch Friends
Cool pic John 😎👍
Some Micarta for Monday.
