You're definitely well covered with those great slicers, a lot of utility and good looks to boot; that shooting stick looks like an awesome accessory for a day out, too! 😁:thumbsup::thumbsup:

How well does it carry, and is it a practical cutter ?

Monday is the day I change my knives for the week, so I've got a different set of 10 knives, most acquired during 2020 and 2021, to tote for the next 7 days.
Canoe for this week is a Rough Ryder with artisan wood covers:

Trapper of the Week is a RR smooth tobacco bone full size locking trapper (thanks, Todd):

And switched to my mustang when I got home.

Thanks Todd. Your bokers look amazing
Thanks John, your carry today was really nice also, but that seat needs a shout out. Go Cards! 😎👍

Sweet carry Gary. 😎👍

The thin profile is very light for the size and virtually disappears in shirt pockets, socks or inside jacket pockets.
I'm still slowly working on a good edge on the well tempered steel, while realizing the intended use was never as a slicer / cutter ... but maybe I'm getting there.
EDIT: The full tang is tapered, which makes it very well balanced

One of my old short line 23 jacks. Big and sturdy, and not elegant, pretty, or light, but a favorite.View attachment 1819879View attachment 1819880View attachment 1819881I found a knife yesterday! Last fall, I made some new beds for my garden. Can’t eat grass, you know! No sod sripping, plowing, or tilling ~ I put down cardboard to smother the sod, and buried it with a thick layer of manure and compost, then fall planted a cover crop, which I chopped up and turned in this spring. Planting my tomatoes, using a trowel to make a hole for each one, I turned up this Official Bot Scout knife. It had apparently been dropped into the grass, and was in the process of enriching the mineral content of the soil. I never had a white scout knife, and my wife and I do not remeber either of the boys having one either. If it belonged to the previous owner, it would have to have been there at least 35 years.
Hit it with a wire brush, sprayed it down with penetrating oil, and it’s now bathing in kerosene in a refired beans can I dug out of the recycling bin.

Is there a chance it wasn’t white when it got dropped? I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Thanks a lot JJ, I'm afraid I can only ASPIRE to a shooting stick currently, I suspect they're something the servants carry! 😄 :)
I've been toting bone and metal for my mad Monday. :)
Those two pair very nicely together my friend, two very handsome knives :)

Very nice Gary :)

Celebrating 3,000 pages and 60,000 posts in the Guardians thread today, with this humble, but well-made, Rosewood Lambsfoot SFO, which I haven't carried in a while :) Pairing it with my #66 Jack
