What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This evening we went to a memorial/candlelight vigil for a classmate of Eleanor’s who was killed last week. I don't know the extent to which the story received national attention, but I’m sure it was overshadowed (understandably so) by the other tragic news this week.

Afterwards we took the girls to get ice cream, and walked down by the lake. I had my newly modified #71 Bull Nose in my pocket again today.

Sorry to hear this.

We got a job in downtown bartlesville renovating two old store front’s with living space upstairs. Apparently it was built in 1910 and hadn’t been lived in since the 1970’s.

Looks like you’ve got a lot of work ahead of you. Maybe you’ll find some cool old relics in those walls. I have a bottle of laxative we found in the walls of my old house from 1915.
That is some FANTASTIC news.
You must be very proud of her and she must be beyond excited.
Tell her congratulations from your friends on the Porch. I think she deserves an ice cream. ;)
Thanks, John. Yes, I’m very proud and she is super excited. She wanted to do well this year, so she worked hard and it worked out for her. Lots of fair food treats!
I love 4H kids. In many ways they ate the best of America. Tell her Way To Go!
Will do. Thanks.
That so cool! Please pass on my congratulations. It’s so much fun watching kids excel at things they enjoy. 🏆
Thanks, Todd. Will do.

Very sad, Barrett. That has to be hard for young kids to process.

This week has been heartbreaking Barrett. Sorry your family and all the other families have to go through this. 😢
All the TC barrows on here lately prompted me to carry this workhorse today.

Hammock nightout before the skeetos ruin everything
You are living right.
Why does food cooked in camp always taste better?
I was dumb last night ~ in my little asparagus patch, with an open knife, had to pull a couple of weeds. Swung my hand right into the open blade.
Angus Jack today.

Nice job of light and camera to show that woodgrain. Very nice jack. It looks like you have a little pond off your deck?
I royally screwed up the covers on this Stag Senator Lamb Foot trying to customize it a bit and frankly I don't care.
Nobody can screw up a pocket knife like I can screw up a pocket knife and I made it mine.
I thought about screwing it up some more, but decided it was screwed just right ... for now.
I also have a pristine original. I chose the lesser of the two as far as fit and finish, to screw with ... now I'm totin' it for a while.

While yer fixing that thing, why not slap some Bondo®️in those squiggly gaps and holes in the back? Pocket lint could get in there.

Good morning everyone and Happy Saturday!

Today will be ‘Sawcut Saturday’ while I tote the 14 along with #3 of the 4 new arrivals.

This Caribbean Blue is stunning, and while I think I’d like a bit deeper cuts, I really love the way Case made this one.

It‘s just a great Barlow. Single Sheepsfoot blade which is my favorite with wear/stain resistant micarta handles. its a knife made for work.

Nice selection of larger knives John.
Thank you, Todd. :)
I'm forced to carry smaller stuff most of the time, so it's nice to change it up when i can.
The white bone is beautiful. 🤠
It's always fun to see knives from older runs being posted.
I think you did a good job of bringing some balance to a sad day. 🤠
Great knife for all occasions, Bart. 🤠
It's a real beauty. 🤠
