I agree. I haven’t carried it a lot lately but I’m carrying and appreciating my smaller knives more on the weekends.They are great little knives.

I've never had a Case Slim Trapper, perhaps it's time for me to check one out.
Since you seem to like 1-blade trappers, you'd probably like a Case slimline trapper. It has a very skinny handle, though, which some folks don't like, and the clip blade is also long and lean, rather than the broad clip that some people prefer. IMHO, both the slimline trapper and a mini trapper are a nicer overall carry than a full-sized trapper.
Good to see your boy enjoying his whittling, Jon, but neither the knife he has nor the GAW you mention ring a bell with me. I think someone else deserves the credit for giving Sam his knife!My boy Sam is whittlin away at some cedar with his fixed blade he won in a GAW from5K Qs
