My checked bag arrived safely. Even in the same state this time, so I have knives on me and feel whole and complete once again. It felt truly strange to pat my pants pocket and feel nothing. Very weird.

Man, I don't feel qualified to give other folks advice about marriage!
But I think something that was important for us to realize is "Perfect is the enemy of good." Helped us have more realistic expectations.

My wife & I have been married 75 years. Well, not to each other. She was married 25 years & divorced. I was married 26 years & divorced. And we've been married to each other for 24 years this month....sometime....I think.

That reminds me a little of my Dad. I've attended TWO 25th wedding anniversary celebrations for him: first with my Mom, and then with another woman many years after my Mom died.
