Congratulations to you and the missus Taylor :)

Your Thursday pick is always a super sweet selection, not unlike the candies it's laying across! 😁:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks buddy, those 'Liquorice Allsorts' are made in Sheffield too :D
Thought I'd grab these two slicey Robeson jacks today. :)
That's a great-looking pair JJ, gorgeous Barlow, and a very cool Robeson Electrician's Knife
Yes, not frequenting BF as much as I would like. The boy is on the mend from ALL, the wife had 7 year old breast cancer come back and caught us off guard (it was stage0 in 2014 and she had double mastectomy with full containment; came back stage4 in her bones). That and the mess going on domestically and abroad just has me anti-social these days. Not depressed - just numb. The economy has business near nil except for GEC releases. Hopefully my bad attitude changes soon.... ;)
Hope things get better Mike, hang in there my friend
Good evening, Porchenburgers! I hope I didn't miss anything important.
I've only been reading a tiny bit here now and then, while my mother was visiting for the past two weeks. (88 years old; we didn't want to spend much of our time staring at screens) She lives in NYC, and wanted to see some dark skies and stars, so we took a road trip out to the Hill Country. I decided to carry my new Gator 88, and it came in handy at a little picnic in Lost Maples State Natural Area. Unfortunately, it was too cloudy for stargazing, but we got to sit and watch some lovely mammatus clouds, sunset, and a lightening storm on the other side of the hills.

Thanks Jack, same to ya. 😎👍

After the trooping of the colour I went for a ride in the Cotswolds to Bibury motor hub.

For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an` Chuck him out, the brute! "
But it's " Saviour of 'is country " when the guns begin to shoot;
An' it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' anything you please;
An 'Tommy ain't a bloomin' fool - you bet that Tommy sees!

When I came out to my bike after paying in the petrol station I found a Cotswold Cider van driver had left a bottle on my bike to try, they are into bikes as well I think.

I love the label its in the fridge chilled waiting to be tasted.

Had a tea at Bibury, the lady in the cafe gave me the last croissants of the day to take home.

Riding back trough the little villages I found the old spirit of England, bunting everywhere all the communities had pulled together and organised events in honour of the Queen.

Stopping to get a sandwich on the last leg back, I came across this pram race, which among the adults was fuelled by refreshments in the local boozers.

Th rugby types with hairy legs and dresses where quite scary.

I couldn't help thinking of the old eccentric English heritage combined with the inventors who got it right, its a thin line.

Barnes wallace,mullbery harbour,the hovercraft,angled decks on aircraft carriers etc.etc.

Thanks, Todd. I see bass and carp and lots of turtles in there. A bass actually jumped off to the side when I was taking the picture. It’s part of a National Wildlife Refuge that I graze that isn’t really open to the public. I don’t think I’m supposed to fish there so I don’t generally do it, but it may have happened a few times through the years. 😉

Solution: carry the same knife every day
Lol 🤣 ... Oh wait, you were serious? 😲
Congratulations to You and the Future Mrs. Meako. 🤠
I also hope we can get out and fish again soon.
My hope is to get out and scope out some good water to see what's producing some fish. 🤠
Those are couple of spectacular Case knives... Old and New. 🤠
What a beauty, Jack. 🤠
I think the older GEC knives had a more authentic look and feel to them.

A friend once said to me, "You're not depressed; everything actually sucks!" For some strange reason, that made me feel better. 😏 A little 'dark' humor to say it's perfectly reasonable to have a bad attitude during hard times. There's nothing wrong with you and hopefully things improve soon.
Good to see yo back! Breaks are good, especially when family is in town - limiting the screen time when needed is never a bad thing :)
Thanks! I can't remember the last time I just sat and looked at the sky for hours. It's free and up there all the time, but life keeps us busy.
This reminds me of my wife and her mother. Good friends who thoroughly enjoy each other.
We are very lucky.

Kutmaster, one of a kind as far as I know.
You could think of it as your Mood Knife. Red when you’re feeling, well ... frisky, blue when you’ve settled down?

tmd_87 tmd_87 ~ congrats on 10 years well spent! Or 10 years down the drain😗...

I’ve been married ten of the happiest years of my life...forty one total.

Ok, old joke. I wish that you can be as fortunate as I have!
