What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The weather forecast calls for 100+ degree highs every day for the next two weeks. Sigh. The knife budget is now earmarked for electricity bills. Probably until October.

Oh well, I'll play indoors this weekend.

Yeesh. Stay cool. And nice looking knives there. The smaller one looks like it has some stories to tell :)

It’s tough being a black dog on a 100 degree day.

Yeah. Our friends visited with their black lab puppy last week when it was over 90 degrees, and he quickly discovered our water fountain beside the back porch.

Then our lab showed him the creek running beside our property. Now, that's the first place he goes, when they let him out of the car.

She did not tote it all day, but yesterday afternoon Mrs Fleschwund made good use of a pretty little stag Bertram Hen and Rooster Hawkbill to cut a vasefull of peonies. Sent by JonMcD JonMcD , I think it’s a classier tool for her rather than the old pair of scissors, right?2A758946-7E85-4351-88A6-C2FDF15B94CD.jpegDD48621E-BF43-4DA6-9829-ED44513FEDF2.jpegI will be using my no longer pretty, but a favorite anyway, Schrade Walden 294, and my Victorinox Harvester/7.

Added the Victorinox SAK like red fob/zipper pull to the Mini Champ and Evo Grip 14 last night. The LM got an olive drab one.
LM removed from the DIY chain lanyard for the picture.
I'm going to try to leave the DIY chain lanyards off the SAK's this week.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Every porch needs a pickin' party now and again. A "Cripple Creek" seems an appropriate blade choice... :)

Goin down Cripple Creek
Going at a run
Going down Cripple Creek
Have some fun

Going down Cripple Creek
Going at a whirl
Going down Cripple Creek
See my girl

Love playing that one. If a bluegrass song can rock, Cripple Creek rocks.

Song I remember is:
"Up on Cripple Creek, she sends me,
If I spring a leak, she mends me,
I don't have to speak, she defends me,
A drunkard's dream if I ever did see one!"
If memory serves me well....

Get a bunch of good pickers together who start jamming, and you'll never wonder if bluegrass can rock :)
