It's always a great pleasure to view a couple great beauties in the wild; I hope you've been having an outstanding day! 😁:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I believe it’s two different songs …
@Amir Fleschwund cited the older one, most likely familar to porch pickers and ‘shine jug virtuosos …

Prester John Prester John hit the one I remember, from the 70’s …

either way, ya gotta love good music …

😎
Yup -- two different songs.

"Cripple Creek" is a bluegrass favorite, and one of the first songs many banjo players ever learn (from the Scruggs 5-String Banjo book).

"Up on Cripple Creek" is from The Band -- and, another classic.

Got to see both the Earl Scruggs Revue and The Band back in the day. Unforgettable...

Single blade trapper? Can’t believe you went for one of those!
I know right? You'd think I'd had enough of them by now. 🤣
Twins! 😁
I love how the butt end of your knife turned out. Job well done, it's beautiful. 🤠:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Those '18s are very special. 🤠
Lovely Ebony Lambsfoot, Rachel. 🤠
Good to see Merle is getting the Royal Treatment in England. 🤠

Hard to express how much I like this photo.
Saw it and started running through my pedal steel bends on my Telecaster.
Or I should say faux pedal steel bends.
Awesome, Jeff. :) Having no instrumental talent myself I can only imagine how relaxing it must be to sit down and strum some bars whenever you're feeling it. A bit of steel on the tele would suit me just fine. The man on the pedal steel in the pic is Chris Scruggs, very talented multi instrumentalist musician, related to Earl. At that time he was touring in our friend Rosie Flores' band. That's Rosie on guitar in the pic.

I attended a summer camp themed backyard birthday party for my youngest grandchild who turned 1 yesterday. I think I had to much cake. Back home now and the sugar high is wearing off, a late afternoon nap might happen soon. :D
Carrying my Fight'n Rooster sheep/pen knife and a 100+ year old Bayonne Knife Co. jack with some honest bone wear.
