What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That is a sweet chunk of log.

I decided to force the patina a bit on the lambsfoot blade to help give it that added protection and use it as a utility only, the clip point is the perfect slicer. I will likely sharpen the lambsfoot blade to 19 dps and the clip point to 17dps sometime soon and this will be a well rounded user knife for the foreseeable future.

I’m awaiting the delivery of a grail GEC I’ve been trying to land for the last two years and I’m very excited to get it in hand today. I may or may not have overpaid for it but such is life.

Totin' ALL in one bag ...
Today's haul of neglected pocket knives from the thrift shop
Sabre (Japan) 620, Kutmaster (no shield) Stockman, Boker 8368, Imperial / Shrade and Imperial Ireland
All will require lovin', rubbin', maybe adjustment here and there and of course sharpening
I can see it taking a while

My wife and I (and our dog) have been traveling since last Thursday, so I'm woefully behind on Porch-related goings-on. She's currently at the first day of a three-day quilt show in St. Cloud, MN, so I have at least a little time to post a couple of the knives I have with me. But I probably won't do too much catching up, since there are some trails along the Mississippi River here in St. Cloud that I'd like to explore while she's at her quilting stuff each day.

Canoe of the Week is a Case burnt amber model I got myself as a 70th birthday gift last December:

Trapper this week is a Rough Ryder smooth tobacco bone lockback medium trapper (thanks, Todd):

I like all my Lancers but this one might be my favorite so far.
I had a lancer once upon a time. My mom worked at a dry cleaner and it was left in a pocket by an uncles brother that was a customer. She asked about it and he gifted it to me at about 12 or so. I don’t know what ever happened to it. I do remember it was quite sharp though when I got it. Thanks for bringing back that memory.

You're welcome.
The 305 is such a great little knife.
