In News of the Drat, I headed out as the sun went down hoping for a decent picture of today's knives, only to discover I'd left my camera on when I offloaded pictures earlier today and drained the battery.

Rassn'frassn, and a quick 4th Gen iPod picture:

(The setting sun had a way cool effect on the Terrio's patina, in particular.)

Yes, my pockets were a bit jingle-jangle today. In a manner of speaking; none of the knives was in the same pocket/area as another.

I've noticed that on a number of GEC's. They do a great job matching their woods scales, to the design and side to side.

I couldn't find the post to quote the pics, but there was a recent bocote example that was just beautifully matched. On a Halfwhitt I believe, it was stunning.

I have a conductor #33 burnt stag, and the scales are very different. One side looks like Grizzly, the other side is more typical of stag.

Ha! It helps to live relatively close to the distributor who happens to live relatively close to the manufacturer.

That has got to be the best looking Bocote I've ever seen on a knife, for both grain and color.
If the pile side looks as good, don't ever lay it down in my presence!
