Oil your knives my friends!!

I swapped my peanut out Monday morning before leaving on a trip. Looked at it this evening when I got home. Clearly I had not wiped it down. A little oil, elbow grease and a quick sharpening and she’s good as new.

Very nice. I like those larger pen knives.
Thank you. It was a nice gift from JohnDF JohnDF . It’s too bad they don’t still make some of those old patterns.
Love that! If I had a knife like that I would never need another one (yeah for a day or two) but it is remarkably beautiful and set for work  Fine context.

Thanks, Will
Thanks, Will. It is a perfect size with a great blade. I really don’t need another one, but where’s the fun in that?
Just got finished with storm cleanup. Several trees down on our cul-de-sac. Had one tree snap off and land in with the turtles. No reptilian injuries to report. 😄👍View attachment 1847134

Now that the clean up is done I have these with me. View attachment 1847138
I love seeing your Boker Barlows, Todd. It looks like you had your work cut out for you today. I’m glad the turtles are okay 👍

Just how the inside of a coffee cup should look, well patina'd. Nice fixed blade. Shape looks like it would be great for de-boning some venison.
I started not washing my coffee cup when I made Chief kind of as a joke, but have stuck with it the last 6 years. Funny thing is people say it’s gross and I haven’t been sick a day since.
Thanks on the fixed blade. I’m sure it would be. It’s my go to food prep knife and it certainly excels.

My wife tried once to wash my normal cup. Luckily, I caught her. She said it was gross but, like you, I have not been sick either. Going on 6 years.
Looks like it would excel at food prep

I agree about the virtues of coffee cup patina, but only if you drink your coffee black (as one should)

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. My Voos showed up and I'm looking forward to getting it into toting shape.
Some people shouldn't be allowed near a Dremel.
