Been absent from posting here lately. We had to put our beautiful dog June down on Thursday. We are all heart broken. But glad we have two more dogs to love up. Wow 14 years went fast!

Been carrying the 15 the past couple of days.

Yeah, we have four buried out back. As I think about that, Manny is busy fruitlessly stalking chipmunks under the deck.

Out on the road for a couple days and brought this one….

So this happened this morning, sitting outside with my beautiful wife having a cup of coffee and watching my birds. Saw my first hummingbird on the feeder, house finches were out with their fledglings and momma bluebird was still sitting on clutch #2 ( they started hatching this afternoon) when this girl flies over the fence and to the woodpile. Clearly not from around here. I approached with a handful of seed and she jumped right up. If I can’t find the owner in next couple of weeks I guess I’ve got a parakeet. Blue 78 seemed appropriate.

I am compensating today. Three Old Timer Therapy.
My three granddaughters flew in, and being minors, I got a gate pass so I could be right there as they de-planed. Of course, that involved arguing with a dufus airline counter girl who kept trying to insist I had to wait outside of the secure area. Where do they scrounge up these idiots to slap a uniform on and “assist” customers? As if I would let them make their way from the gate to baggage claim on their own? Maybe in a couple of years...
Anyway, that meant being entirely knifeless for a few hours! I’m recovering nicely now, thanks to your thoughts and prayers.

I’d better shut up and get busy in the kitchen. They’re owly in the morning if breakfast takes too long. How ‘bout pancakes and bacon?

You can see this one is an “S” model because of the very light tang stamping.

These “S”’s are hand stamped and this one was either not stamped at all or hit so lightly that it didn’t make its mark.

Thank you! And you are spot on. These are my late son’s girls, and we are very blessed to have them. I’ll be trying to find things to do that they’ll like, but if all else fails, just spending time will do.

Thanks I used to carry it regularly, as it's such a handy little knife Kind of got lost in the back of a drawer. I find the after-market sheath carries it a little more securely
