I decided to polish my knife and start the patina again treating it to a continental twist.

Day off from work for me, played in the back yard with a osage bow and osage knife. Both have aged for about 3yrs, and the wood on both has oxidized and mellowed from original yellow color.

Much more relaxed,they use the palm of the hand to measure a blade length for instance.

Which must be quite different depending if you are a rugby prop forward or a horse jockey.

They look at me like I am a madman when I use a ruler to measure and explain our laws to them.
