• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks, Jack!
I'll carry these two today. I'm thinking about sharpening the fork a little bit.

I don't like my forks sharp. Might bite my tongue. I might go the other route and dull it. Different forks for different folks, I always say ! .......................... or was that ??? 🤔 🤔 🤔🤣
Useful cutlery, BTW.

Thanks Mr P :) I wonder where that cake went 😋 😁

I can only judge from what folks post here, but Goins seems to be an absolute mine of misinformation! 😖

Blimey, an early 19th century knife in stainless! :D

Thomas Turner were one of Sheffield's best-known cutlers Mr P, they made a good knife :)

LOL! :D Maybe you can use it next year too! 😁;)
I reckon they did not always follow the Goins Encyclopedia rules. They owned the company. ;)☺️

See what I mean - Scant information for one of the best known cutlers of England and in business for a really long time, it appears. I do believe my pruner might fit that time frame, judging by it's overall appearance .............................. or maybe not. I won't be using it for garden chores. I have others. : 😇

Concerning Tom getting his share of cake, my Elijah J. is very good at catching my back turned, to get his share. 🐈‍⬛🐾
Well behaved when I am watching. He is more of an ice cream kind of cat though. 😂🍦

Thanks, Jack!

I don't own a copy Mr P, but have seen so many instances of inaccurate information posted here from Goins, sometimes not just inaccurate, but ridiculous, that I have to question the supposed expertise behind the book, and wonder if the very act of selling it as a guide to knife collecting, is not a matter of fraud :( They are certainly responsible for sowing a lot of confusion, and disseminating a great deal of misleading information

LOL! :D My brother-in-law was once making a ham sandwich in the kitchen. He opened the fridge to get some mustard, and when he went to add it to the sandwich, the ham had disappeared! Their stupid-looking greyhound, Bruno, which was the size of a small pony, was feigning innocence, but betrayed by the fact that half the ham was still hanging out of the corner of his mouth! 🤨😁
Good Morning Porch Friends and Happy 4th of July.
Thought I'd carry my American Lambsfoot for the celebration.
Nice choice John, and a great pic :)
