America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.
Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!
I'd forgotten about your July 4th routine!Hot dogs will be served in the mid afternoon. As per tradition, I will first watch the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Competition from Coney Island. Will Joey Chestnut beat his record of 74 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes?
Thanks a lot JJThanks a bunch, Jack!!!![]()
Quite a cool duo of Americana Jack, with a bit of Sheffield inspired Lambsfoot blading!
Gotta love that classic tang stamp on your wonderful old slicer!![]()
*-*-s ... how can anyone abuse their tastebuds and tummy like that? I could/can understand 74 lobster tails or even twice that in oysters/ clams/ peeled shrimp or crawdad/crayfish (freshwater lobster) tails, Squid/octapi/cuttlefish, or even Escargot ... but tube steaks?!? ew.Will Joey Chestnut beat his record of 74 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes?
One of my maternal Great-Great Uncles gave his all in France in 1917.I am now in Lourdes,I paid my respects at 3 memorials on the way.

That old pruner is beyond description my friend , but you know that . It is what some of us look for and never find . I would have to carry it , but maybe never use it . Outstanding picture too my friend .Independence Day - July 4th :

Classic 4th of July morsels. I had corn on the cob, red potatoes, and grilled out steak. and some butter !
Thanks, John. I can’t use it too much because I want to preserve the blade etch.Speaking of wonderful old knives...![]()
Perfect knife for today, John.
Not entirely sure, because he had a hard time opening it.
However, he was very impressed with the quality and the overall look of it. May have planted a seed.![]()
Thanks, Todd. It’s a nice, thin one to have in the pocket for skating.Love those “SAK in a skate park” photos Bart.![]()
That new wharncliffe Case is nice.
Nope - ain't gonna happen. Maybe my M.i.r. pruner, but, not the T. Turner pruner. Didn't you see the part about cutler to his majesty ? I doubt Royalty does any pruning anyway.I’ll freely admit that if I had thePrimble pruner, I’d consider sharpening it and use it gently.
