Fontenille Pataud and Ken Onion for Work Sharp Wednesday ®

I'm only toting one (Joel Chamblin), but I thought I'd show my other custom modern traditionals.
- On the left, a Joel Chamblin slip joint with a hand-rubbed and satin finish modified Wharncliffe blade with harpoon swedge in CPM 154, and covers are lightening strike CF with copper threads;
- On the right, a slip joint by Alan Davis with a blade of Vegas Forge carbon Damascus and carved Elkhorn covers;
- On the bottom is my newest baby, a slip joint by Vincenzo Balistreri featuring a "Munin" pattern Damasteel blade in a modified sheep's foot, woolly mammoth ivory covers with a brass mosaic shield, and a mammoth lanyard bead. Oh, the watch is my modest Patek Philippe Aquanaut.

Dude!! Aquanaut for the WIN!

In honor of my mother, 1928-2021, who passed away one year ago today, I am toting her only pocket knife. A Case small stockman that I gave her as a stocking stuffer for Christmas, back in 1995. The idea was for her to carry it in her purse at all times, however, when it came back to me, it appears the idea never quite took with her. She would bring it out and show it from time to time.

Her kitchen knife, wielded by her most every day, since she loved to cook, was a different matter. I will use it for my dinner preparations tonight.

Nice, Rob. And I see the love of Primble runs in your dna.

echoscout echoscout ~ thanks for the info on your Cattle.
I have a couple Camillus made High Carbon cattle knive, one a three blade, and a four blade Premium Cattle. That one has coined liners and a spiral punch. Unfortunately, neither is in anything close to the near mint condition of yours. Both show years of use with smoothed out jigging, and sharpening loss on the blades. But they still snap, and take a wicked edge.

A friend was waiting to greet me when I came back from town 🐢

I tried to get my pocket knife in the pic, but he wasn't having it, racing away🏎️to hide under the truck.

Fox Livri unfortunately not posed with wildlife.

Inspired by @Primble
I gave this paring knife (6.75") to Mom. No name or stamp. Allegedly made by a guy in Lawrence, Kansas. Or maybe it was Leavenworth 🤔 Told Mom I paid $7 for it at a gun show. She thought it was a fairly good knife. Told me if I saw any more at that price to get a couple more for her friends :)

Y’all’s box turtles look a might different than ours.

I used my Sodbuster on the road through the Pyrenees mountains (French side) yesterday.
The fruits are made by monks near a abbey I stopped of to look around.
I ended up riding for to long for my current state of health.
My throttle hand was in absolute agony,it saps all your strength.
Still it’s what I came for I was never going to take the easy route. 😁

This is just awesome all around. I'm sorry for your loss.

I will be traveling to Cancun in a weeks time and this Pioneer SAK will be accompanying me on my adventures. The only question that remains is if I should tie a small lanyard for it. I’m expecting it to pop open a lot of beers for me on the beach 🏝

I’m all about lanyards/fobs. Depending on how near the water you’re going to be, you could even put a wine cork on one to make it buoyant so it doesn’t meet a fate as sunk Caribbean treasure.

That is a great idea with the cork but I’ll have a small backpack on me where I’ll be keeping the SAK in the majority of time. Hmm… Just gotta decide between charcoal, black, or orange black diamond lanyard now 😃

Not that it matters, but I think orange/black would look good, and a little eye-catching hi-viz is always good for finding.

New Addition to the Family (pronouns are my/precious): full custom slip joint by the maestro, Vincenzo Balistreri, who is on IG under his name.
- Damasteel blade in a modified sheep's foot pattern, woolly mammoth ivory covers with a copper mosaic shield, and a mammoth lanyard bead. The fit and finish are as close to perfection as humanly possible.
- The pendant, from eBay, is Mokume Gane, to match the color of the mosaic pin.

That is one gorgeous piece of cutlery!
Thank you, fellas. I just got the axe in last week after I commissioned it some time ago - I'm immensely pleased with it. Jack, the 88 has been a daily carry from the get go. It is about as much knife as one could hope for - quirky as it is, it rates up there as one of GEC's finest "weird ones", in my modest opinion.

I love that axe and puukko Dylan and a wonderful composition.
Nice tribute to your mom ! I lost mine a few months ago to pulmonary fibrosis
Very sorry to hear that Steve.
