What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

In honor of my mother, 1928-2021, who passed away one year ago today, I am toting her only pocket knife. A Case small stockman that I gave her as a stocking stuffer for Christmas, back in 1995. The idea was for her to carry it in her purse at all times, however, when it came back to me, it appears the idea never quite took with her. She would bring it out and show it from time to time.

Her kitchen knife, wielded by her most every day, since she loved to cook, was a different matter. I will use it for my dinner preparations tonight.

Thank you Will. Much obliged.

Today's carry. The BPS arrived after a six week journey from Ukraine. Excellent folder and really great folks. View attachment 1863141

My condolences to you. I lost my mom to cancer almost a year ago. I miss her so much. I do carry her knife from time to time, and I look at it often.

Launching for town in a short while. The usual stops - Post Office, a local restaurant, the Holiday Market, Grocery Outlet, 4-Corners Market and an extra stop at the barber for a haircut. We might stop by the Stock Yards but not much has been happening there since the Pandemic - most cattle sales are virtual now days although they did have a live sale last Saturday. Anyway, we never know what might pop up so this Scout Trapper should cover any and all situations that come our way.

I tried to get my pocket knife in the pic, but he wasn't having it, racing away 🏎️ to hide under the truck.

Fox Livri unfortunately not posed with wildlife.

I gave this paring knife (6.75") to Mom. No name or stamp. Allegedly made by a guy in Lawrence, Kansas. Or maybe it was Leavenworth 🤔 Told Mom I paid $7 for it at a gun show. She thought it was a fairly good knife. Told me if I saw any more at that price to get a couple more for her friends :)
