What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice axe.

Great pic Dylan  That looks like a nice sharp edge on your axe :) How're you finding the #88?

Thank you, fellas. I just got the axe in last week after I commissioned it some time ago - I'm immensely pleased with it. Jack, the 88 has been a daily carry from the get go. It is about as much knife as one could hope for - quirky as it is, it rates up there as one of GEC's finest "weird ones", in my modest opinion.

A gift from Wild Willie Wild Willie 👍

Many thanks for the kind words JJ 🙂👍
I'm glad to see the pry tool/blade pick/scrapey thingy is still kicking along Jack!

JM2 JM2 that piece of steel was salvaged from a failed blade forging. It was also my first attempt at doing file work. I made several of them in different shapes and sizes.

Since I haven't been along to this thread in a while I'll share what I've been carrying.

This case medium stockman in red bone and CV arrived a week ago this past Saturday. While at first apprehensive about purchasing online I was rewarded with an excellent example.

Grabbed two redbone 2 bladed jacks today. :)
Two crimson queens there JJ  :)

The axe really is a beauty my friend  It's great to hear your thoughts on the #88 :) That's quite a 'Nessmuk trio' there! :D Great pic :)
Carried this one. More wood split and stacked, now onto the oak 😩

Fine-looking Charlie Lamb Taylor :)

I’m digging the absence of the shield on that trapper. I think you could start a new trend where dudes purposely extract their shields just to look like that beautiful piece. You could call it “Negative Shielding”. No?

And here I thought it looks cheap and trashy!

Magnificent Cattle Knife, echoscout!
Who’s the maker?

Today, I have my Lambfoot, which was a gift from my friend across the border in Wisconsin. He also sent a series of massive thunderstorms, which rolled down out of the north. Monday night, after the girls were in bed, I dragged a chair into the backyard and watched a spectacular lightning show. When the lighrning bolts were so close that it looked like they were at the barn across the field, and I could hear that sizzling sound right before the crackling boom, I thought it would be smart to retreat to the house. And Harry sent another wave of storms yesterday afternoon, which set off the flash flood warnings. My garden thanks you, Old Engineer Old Engineer !0BBDE5FA-3237-4B4C-A785-0139F2680279.jpeg
