I really appreciate you sharing your old Camillus, Schrade Cut Co, and Cattaraugus collection, Rob.

I found this Sword Brand EO jack a few years ago to match Grandpa’s knife, which I don’t want to carry.
My Grandpa’s family came from Scotland, and found work in the Eastern Tennesse coal mines. His father was killed in a huge mine disaster in 1906, leaving his Mom to raise three boys and a daughter. She took in washing and other odd jobs, raised a huge garden, and the boys hunted small game and foraged wild plants like watercress, dandelion, huckleberries, etc to survive. At some point, he left home and made his way. I’m not sure when, probably in the ‘20s or ‘30s, he saved up and bought a Camillus Sword Brand Jackknife, which he carried for the rest of his life. I remember sitting on his lap and him letting me handle it. That is the knife with which he showed me how to sharpen a blade.
When he passed, Grandma gave me his knives. His old jack had a lot of sharpening wear, and the secondary spring had broken, but it was HIS knife, and I think he carried it to the end.
This one makes a good user, and brings me good memories.
Used it yesterday in the garden. Cleaned off some plant residue, re-oiled it, and got it again today.

Went to the post office to mail the Case Pass Around box to AdamFuzzyballs . A little foggy down in the bottom.

We've been on the dry side, but the corn in the bottom looks pretty good.

Took the Case small coke bottle that I got from the Pass Around with me. Its a little bigger than a peanut and little smaller than an 87 pattern jack. Goldilocks would approve

Cindy and I didn't make it to town yesterday after all so, we'll just stick close to home today and continue our routine of going to town tomorrow (Tuesday). I'm not going to do anything around the house so, I'll just keep it simple and carry this flashy SS Sod Buster Jr..

Brilliant W&T on all of them actually. I'm on the lookout for a back-up for this one, so if anybody has a 'surplus' a trade is on the cards

What's that huge flower in the background to the hugely desirable Lambfoot? I feel lucky to have one of those knives too but alas, not those flowers in this arctic clime.
