Either you have a jumbo rose or a very small knife? Either way I like the pic :)

Well, I'm about as happy as a kid with a new pocket knife. Oh wait...

It's got a walloping thick piece of D2. The tang is thicker than the tang of my Benchmade 710. But the edge is still pretty thin. I measured it at 0.26" just above the edge bevel.

Hoping to get out and work with it yet this weekend.

Congrats on finally scoring one of those:thumbup:
I have been curiously eyeing these for a while now, and never realized that they had such a beefy piece of bladestock in them.
How is the heft of that bad boy in hand?
Love the look of those covers too!

Thanks jon, there's no way I,m deleting that image any time soon!
Love that mushroom shot whenever I see it as well!

Between the thick blade stock and the heft of the handle it ends up being very well balanced. I have to say that I am very pleased with it. The birdseye maple covers are heavily stabilized. The surface is resin, not wood. But it feels good in the hand and it looks good.

The overall fit and finish is very good, IMO. Very smooth action, solid lockup, a tiny bit of vertical play. The play is not noticeable unless I hold the handle in one hand, blade in the other and try to move it. It's difficult to have positive lockup with no blade movement at all in a lockback. I've used lockbacks for decades and to me this one is very good.

I've been carrying it in my front pocket using a pocket sheath to keep it in a vertical orientation. It carry's well in my jeans that way, but I may look at a belt sheath for it.

Thanks for the info Frank. Looks like a keeper!
