Bullbuster and one of my Voos Jacks today.View attachment 1890160View attachment 1890161
I pulled some onions the other day. View attachment 1890163Put down more compost, and replanted the bed.View attachment 1890162 One row of Roma bush beans, and one row of Raab broccoli. After my main bed of snap beans has run it’s course, it will be nice to have more to eat fresh in late September. This variety of broccoli grows, and gets eaten much faster than the head type. We’ll start cutting the tender shoots when they get about 6 or 7 inches tall.
I pulled one of my two garlic beds, and replanted it in kale, turnips, and cilantro.
It’s still too early for second plantings of spinach and lettuces. I’ve tried several times, but they just don’t germinate well when it’s so hot. Have to be patient. Those will germinate in October, even November, pruduce even as late as Thanksgiving, survive through the winter, and start up again as soon as the snow melts. Amazing for Northern Illinois.
I have a lot of cilantro that got huge hanging to dry for the seeds. Trying to keep replanting this so that I have some at just the right size at the same time all of the peppers and tomatoes are ready for salsa canning time. It won’t be long.
I had a great crop of sugar pod peas this year. Finally pulled the plants last weekend, and re-planted, for a fall crop.

Awesome garden, Jeff! Looks more like a job to me......I think a man needs a hobby, right?

Nice carries too!
Not an expert, but that would sound good to me.Carrying this relatively new Trapper today. Any reason I shouldn't just use a drop of Gorilla Glue to reattach the Case shield?

Awesome knives. Is the case stockman a special run? The shield is different than any I have seen on a production case.Good Morning Porch Friends
I'm carrying my Usual Lamb, a Frontier Stockman for Thrifty Thursday, and the Case/Bose for Three Blade Thursday.
The Frontier could be for Three Blade Thursday too, but I'll take any excuse to carry the Case Bose Stockman.![]()

+1Gorilla glue expands, does it not?
I'd use a simple Superglue, just to be sure.

Case says to use superglue. For one shield I defied them and used epoxy, but the superglue works fine. (I love how they'll find you a shield for free. They'll apply it for free, too, if you can wait.)Gorilla glue expands, does it not?

Thank you, Jack.Colourful combination John
Good to know.I have the same reservations about the expansion of the original Gorilla Glue, but they make other stuff now.
Gorilla glue needs moisture to set and it foams. I'd use epoxy.Carrying this relatively new Trapper today. Any reason I shouldn't just use a drop of Gorilla Glue to reattach the Case shield?
