What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I love a good knife posed on guitar photo, Paul. Luckily, even the non afflicted seem to tolerate our addiction. Or at least they haven’t complained.
Is this your Taylor? Pretty fancy and new looking.
Probably should just go ahead and get that first ding or scratch, so you can relax🤓
Thanks! I do appreciate the tolerance …
Not a new guitar, that’s my 612ce 12-fret (~ 2016 I think, I am 2nd owner) … and regarding the first ding, it’s done … and boy do I have a story about that one! 😩 🤦🏻‍♂️ 😢
Here she is before “the incident” …

Utica Kutmaster and Tina 605 for Sunday:

I enjoyed your Utica yesterday and today. It’s got that sweet pewter tone that some old steel gets. I always smile when I see the decorative engraving around the pin holes on the shackle that the Kutmasters have. Nice touch.
In all honesty, it reminded me that I was past due to tote one of those myself.
I am tiling a shower and bathroom floor today. So a TL-29 is all I’ll need.

I used to think that a Barlow without a bolster stamp was a bit too plain, but, you (and Merle) have made me see that it is just a blank canvas for talented artists ! Outstanding work !
How about the other side - is it the same of different, or not yet finished ?    😍😍

Because of my short sightedness, I now have to locate a Barlow without a stamp for my idea for you for me. ;)😊
Pssst Mr. Jack .................. that sure is a fine looking (and pristine 🤔🤔) forum knife you posted this morning ! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🤣🤣🤣🤣;)

Thank you Jeff and good luck on the tile work. 😊

I’m glad you reminded us of your name, Paul. I recently called you Ed, as well.

I might keep calling him Ed just for the heck of it. 🤣

The wife and I took a little trip to the Smokies for the weekend. Thought I would share some pics of our trip and of a new knife that I picked up at the great knife store up there.

I know where that log cabin is. Have pictures of it as well. The Smokies is always a fine trip ! 😊

After getting this one out for a photo-op yesterday, I've decided to tote it in the pocket today. Incredibly, after all these years, I have somehow managed to keep track of my very first pocket knife, given to me by my father upon becoming a Boy Scout (Imperial, circa 1967). Am so glad that it's still around -- brings back lots of good memories. :)

Went for a 100 mile scooter ride this morning. It was a pretty morning for it, if a little humid. I got back at 9:30 a.m. and it was just starting to get uncomfortably hot. Sitting in the air conditioning drinking coffee now sip.gif

Took the Case single blade copperhead with me. A truly fine pocket knife thumb.gif

Have always wanted to try a hawkbill, so I picked this up at the 127 yard sale, for only six bucks. It has a "Sabre, Japan" tang stamp, it was very unfinished. Blocky handles, some pepper spots, and scratched up bolsters. So I shaped the handles down, which is a beautiful rosewood, and added rattail bolsters. After an oil bath and a few passes with wax, the pull is a solid seven. I can't wait to use this in the garden.
