Honest question, not trying to be a smart Alek. What exactly is traditional and is it the same for me, as an old guy, as someone in their 30s? Is traditional what was popular when a person was growing up, or before? It may be a bit easier to define when talking firearms as traditional would be blue steel and wood furniture, but I am not sure with knives.

We could drink many beers a discuss this for hours. However for the purposes of this forum the definition in the link below is the one that is used.

This is the only picture I took, but I am definitely toting the carbon steel yellow Rough Ryder wharncliffe, BOY are those clean grinds, for real! Had to wash it, sure, but boy... the cheaper, stainless model is a little closer to Case edge-wise, but I will need to test it a bit more before I make a decision. The Wharncliffe, though? Oh, man. I love this pattern, so far. I need to use it, to get a thorough opinion.

I didn't see the "Perfect! Thank you!" at the beginning of your post, only the accidental "k" at the bottom, thought you replied to him, just simply, "k", like an upset teen girl, and thought "Wow, what a jerk..."
Glad I looked twice 😂
