Nice workHave always wanted to try a hawkbill, so I picked this up at the 127 yard sale, for only six bucks. It has a "Sabre, Japan" tang stamp, it was very unfinished. Blocky handles, some pepper spots, and scratched up bolsters. So I shaped the handles down, which is a beautiful rosewood, and added rattail bolsters. After an oil bath and a few passes with wax, the pull is a solid seven. I can't wait to use this in the garden.

Happy Coast Guard day
Cool! I'll bet even if someone went up to St. Cloud, they couldn't go any farther because there's a dam and hydroelectric plant that spans the entire width of the river just south of downtown. The buoy tender I was on out of Iowa for a few years worked the Mississippi. We worked the buoys all the way up a little past Minneapolis, but I don’t remember going as far north as St. Cloud.
Celestial quartet! The usual shapleigh jr cattle and double swiss, joined by an imperial cattle.

What else indeed??Yeah, and I still have two more knives on me but they aren’t traditional. If you have too many knives what else are you supposed to do?

Commendable Constellation! Your trio (each on a post) is as stellar as the trio in Orion's Belt!Good Morning Porch Friends
I'm carrying my Usual Lamb, a Frontier Stockman for Thrifty Thursday, and the Case/Bose for Three Blade Thursday.
The Frontier could be for Three Blade Thursday too, but I'll take any excuse to carry the Case Bose Stockman.

Living the galactic dream, Jeff!Nice time of the day. Got a baking dish full of vegetables ( summer squash, onions, garlic, tomatoes, along with romano, asiago, parmesan, and mozarella, all sprayed with olive oil) baking in the oven, chicken breasts on the grill, and my ‘55 J45 singing back at the birds. The Voos is about to cut open a breast to see if it’s done.
Have a peaceful evening.View attachment 1890733
As thrilling as twin comets in the night sky, Paul!Horse cut TC and Antique yellow pick bone Farmers Jack.
