Rich, ravishing chestnut, Todd! My mini trapper similar to that has patina only on the spey blade; I guess my blade preference is pretty obvious for that pair.Starting off with this one, (thanks @Modoc ED) Beautiful dark chestnut CV mini trapper, but it looks a little naked, need to get that patina started.

Terrific trio of knives, Jeff! I hope you're not hitting that jug too hard while you're carrying that fixed blade!
You're a good citizen, John, observing all the community rituals with your knife choices!Good Morning Porch Friends

Oh, you were WATCHING races. I thought you were RUNNING races as a new hobby, Gary!We did Jack! We spent the day in one of the new VIP suites, attending a family birthday celebration. It was a nice way to lose money at the track!
Thanks. The baseball leather was bonded with additional leather to provide more structure. I love it
Thanks!
Notable pair, Steve! Grand blade combo on the trapper jack, and sensational covers.
Thanks, Barrett; still on vacation for a couple more days....
Iโve had that same thought when using an Opinel, GT.
...
Hope youโre having (had?) a nice vacation, GT!
...
I had a #13 Whittler and a MAM with me today.

I can't believe I didn't notice that! I had to go back and check. Thanks a lot, Gary!!!I can't believe I wrote "Barlow" instead of Lambsfoot

Looking forward to seeing what you got, Steve. It is a bit unique and I came across another one that I probably spent too much on....Hopefully coming soon to this thread soon.
I was thinking the same thing, that they are a Barlow in a way, with a longer bolster!
They're nice mugs (with a little "lip drippage" though), but my actions are ruled by the dictum, "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time."I trust a couple of them will find their way home with you.
Feel free to revise it to "scan" better; I'm not much of a poet.I like it!!!![]()
Interesting info. I was thinking about old dairy farm issues while I was taking a walk yesterday, and came up with lots of common situations for which I no longer remember the details. Thanks, Gary. Iโm enjoying the Ettrick.
We tag our calves as they are born (before they get too fast) with a tag that corresponds to the cow. Then they get the e-id before we sell them.
Nice gift; Andi hasn't dropped by in quite some time....
Thanks Gary, it was a gift, many years ago from Papa Andi

Have a good day everyone![]()
You got hold of a very fine user example, it's better than mint because you can add to its history yourself
Thanks Gary, and I agree about the MTโs Spey blade. Itโs the most used secondary blade for me too, so easy to pinch open.Rich, ravishing chestnut, Todd! My mini trapper similar to that has patina only on the spey blade; I guess my blade preference is pretty obvious for that pair.

Congrats, Jon, thatโs a major accomplishment.View attachment 1903234
A couple of purpose driven knives today. I wanted to wait to take a picture because I have my knives on top of my closed laptop. I completed the last assignment for my bachelors degree! After 2 years I am done with classes. Maybe Iโll have some time to crave something up soon.
