Much as I love the Proper, there are several details that I often think they didn't get quite right. The Fox Livri strikes me as someone taking a swing at making a 'Proper 2.0' that addresses most of those things. I'm very interested in one of those, but was initially halted when several reviewers said that the blade hits the lanyard tube when closed. Unfortunately, I've never had the chance to hold one, so I'll probably just have to bite the bullet sometime and buy one of those to check out, but I suspect that with that in hand, you may not need a Proper.ThanksTyson A Wright . A cap lifter?? That's no good on a knife like that
Will keep an eye out and have trades ready too. The Fox Livri is I think similar and I enjoy using that a lot.

Interesting, been v.saisfied with the Livri: light in weight, well made, great steel. looks the part and had no problems with mine hitting the lanyard or spring.Much as I love the Proper, there are several details that I often think they didn't get quite right. We are lucky, that's the only rodent we've seen around here... Fat cats and birds we see plenty of though. My Tabbycat would be on that rodent case straightaway
Seems it's not uncommon on the pattern.....my Beer Scout is a bit of a wreck, cracked pins both sides plus around the bail and I've never dropped it nor banged it down. This one had a crack for about a year right down the middle, I just noticed it broke off this weekend, dont even know how
Love that pair, Jon. I didn’t realize how much I’d like the 12 until I picked one up frombigfish64 Todd a while back. It didn’t take long to realize how great that pattern is, though it seems to be generally unloved by most.

you may be a bad influence … I have a pristine stainless 12 with elk handles, and your recent posts have me considering putting it into service …

Inspired by others posting their 12s, plus my usual Proper.

Spoken like a true collector! That makes four #12 supporters for the day! I’d call that a win for a random Monday in August.
Now…I just have to find a knife with an acorn on it to go with my oak leaf.
Ed- we need to see a photo of that elk or it doesn’t exist.
Thanks a lot, Jack!!!Nice pair of Lambs JJ, good choice my friend![]()

OUCH!, I have a smooth bone beer scout user that is cracked an the center pin as well (Idropped it more than once), I also have a Gunscout that developed a crack also at the center pin this year, safe queen, never been used.Seems it's not uncommon on the pattern.....my Beer Scout is a bit of a wreck, cracked pins both sides plus around the bail and I've never dropped it nor banged it down.
