What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Why thank you Gentlemen! I like how you orientated the pic Kev, should have played around with it a bit :)

I do kind of the same thing when I get a new one. While hard to ignore the beauty of your Scagel, if the Outlaw is a better user then its not a hard choice which one to carry. But I know you will find plenty of excuses uh I mean reasons :) to carry that Scagel my friend. I to find I prefer my pen blades to be little scalpels, so nice to have that little super slicer tucked away for just the right task.

Agreed to everything my friend. Your welcome for the pic, it was making me dizzy :D

The scagel WILL get its fun in the sun :)

Oh I know it will Kevin. I would say its a great suit knife but I think you have a few others more uhhumm suited for that task ;)

I would use that baby for picnics/hiking with the family. Plenty of blade for any task on those trips and I wouldnt feel naked without a second blade. But thats just how I would justify buying one :D

Its like you read my mind on that!

Yup, the ivory version is the suit knife :)

Nice Brian, love the SAK, but man that fixed blade is gorgeous---Maker? :thumbup

Paul

Thanks Paul. The maker is Frank "Woody" Bridwell of Tamassee Bladeworks. It's forged 1095 with a lacewood handle. It's a great little pocket blade that fits perfect in the sheath from the exchange. This might just be my ideal edc combo. I scored it off the bay a while back for a great price.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone!

Kevin, I love the looks of the Scagel, but just love the utility of my Outlaw..........and my 85 Bullet Jack.......and my #66 Rotten Jack. I just find a pen blade way too useful to give up. Kind of the reason that I didn't bite on a 42 or 72 single blade............at least not yet. Currently have my eye on a Laguiole like Pete's.

Early to bed tonight. Picked out these two for tomorrow's carry. In part in deference to Kevin......Scagel is sexy, beautiful, actualizing........but oooooohhhhh that Outlaw!! In the words of the great Frazier Crane...."I'm running with scissors"!...sorry...I guess you have to be a Cheers fan to understand the "bad boy" reference

Yup....carrying the #76 Outlaw with the Pemberton

I'll stick my neck out and say I think this is the best made GEC I've had so far. (Still in the honeymoon period, you understand:))

Gosh, this brings back memories. I had a Westclox Scotty when I was young, a white-faced one I saved up my allowance for....

Another great picture, Paul, complete with memories. Thanks!

(Thanks, Paul. Words fail, though I'll keep trying.)

-- Still have the Silver Knight along as well, Ed. Assume its presence with me, and you guys in my heart, for each "today" as it comes.

Fantastic! You're a star Paul :)

I had a Westclox alarm clock as a kid - It brings back NO good memories at all!! :D

Yep - thanks to Paul, I can now pretty much duplicate what I remember my grandpa carrying when I was a kid. I had my my grandpa's old DE 854, but an unfortunate incident in the garage made it unusable, so I found this NOS one a little while ago. Then, Paul sent me this great watch, which is very similar to what my grandpa carried every day. Thanks, Paul.
