Thanks, Gary.
Smart dog! Do the cows object to finding a dog in their tank? When I was a kid, we often had turtles and bullheads in our cow tank, but it didn't seem to bother the cows.

The cows will try to drink but the dogs generally object to the cows getting close enough to drink. The fish don’t seem to mind 😁
The bullheads got there by eggs sticking to bird’s legs, I suppose?

I think you’re right, although earlier this season I found a 6 or 8 inch catfish in the field gasping for air that had come through the irrigation pipeline. I put him in the trough and he is still alive months later. The mosquito abatement district will put mosquito fish in the troughs, too.

Great knife, not so great news. ☹️
Thanks, Todd. At least we had some warning that it was coming.

"I was shipping cattle off a 900-acre lease we lost as they are breaking ground to build more houses. It’s a bummer but we knew it was coming."

I think it was Joni Mitchel who sang, "They cut down paradise and put up a parking lot" - same applies to housing developments. :(
They’re already putting survey stakes in the ground. Kinda weird watching a place I’ve grazed for years turn into houses.
I’ll jump on the bandwagon. Nice one, Gary. I like those lined bolsters.

Staying home today. A neighbor is having a fence installed - no climb horse fence. He's bringing in three mules. Don't ask. I have no idea why anyone would bring in three mules here. Anyway, I think I'll go down there and watch for awhile. Think I'll tote this Buck 112 with me. Don't know what the covers are (some kind of wood I think) but it'll do. Ate a piece of toast yesterday like a dumb-arse and this morning my gums are suffering for it so, only soft scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Anybody know what the wood covers on this knife are???? Some kind of ebony maybe???? Macasscar (sp?)

Thank you Mr. Jack and I hope all goes well at the doc. 😊 I had a good time, but, the fish didn't cooperate. Need to plan a new fishing strategy for the autumn.
Thank you very much Mr P, sorry to hear about the fish - a bit like my doc! I'm glad you enjoyed getting out anyway my friend :)
A very handsome pair :)
Good to see the loyal lad John! :D
That's a looker Todd :)
