What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks y'all, appreciate the compliments! I need to grill some meat tomorrow to slice it up with it to start off a nice patina!

Queen SFO medium trapper. Very fond of this one:D

Hi hunterfisher,

Is this the antique green bone one? I used to have the strawberry bone Cozy Glen mini trapper and I recall the blades were thin but slicers! I have the Cozy Glen canoe in amber wormgroove and it is one of the top three favorites that I carry. That 1095 takes an excellent patina. I may have to get the antique green bone before they all disappear if that is what you have.

I've been fussing with the edges on a new Queen mini-trapper today. But in my pocket was a Queen Cattle King.

Yes it is the very one you mention. The blades are thin and superb slicers! The spey has a beautiful swedge at the tip that the photo didn't catch. this one does patina nicely in various colors. The greenbone is very translucent. Just a very sweet knife. :D

Hi,

George, WOW! that is a beauty!

I started the day out with my Boker Barlow, but my favorite, my Case Canoe somehow managed to crawl into my pocket this afternoon.

Case yellow handle CV Peanut during the day. As of an hour ago, an Imperial Barlow that belonged to my wife's 99-year-old grandmother who passed away recently. It has an interesting history that I'll share later.

This has been the most difficult decision
I am on vacation for 2 weeks and I can only take one knife!!

And the winner is......

A Case Chestnut Medium Stockman in CV

All day it's been a Queen Cutlery Utility in Amber Bone. Came in useful at lunch with cheese and fruits.

For half the day I'm carrying this OT 960T but I have to give it back this evening to my boss. I sharpened it for him, and he better be carefull with it especially with the clip blade! I think I like this knife better then my old 80T.

I carried this little Camillus-made Remington pen knife at work today, even though it doesn't quite meet my company's regulations for legal knife carry on company grounds. It's a quarter of an inch over the overall length limit, but the blade meets the 2-inch blade length limit.

Nice little 440A blade and delrin scales.

Yesterday I found an old '79 Slimline Case Yellow Handled Trapper with a CV blade, under the seat of an old '79 Caddy Coupe De 'Ville my bought for parts.

A little cleanin' up and I now have a serviceable knife, pics to follow.:thumbup:
