I'm carrying the olive green Texas jack today. The weather is wet and nasty, so the stainless knife gets the nod today.

Thanks for sharing, Ed! This is a great looking knife, especially the bolsters are great in combination with the bone :)

Headed over to Bozeman today to pick up my brother-in-law and his gf from the airport and eat out at one of my wife and mines favorite restaurant, John Bozeman's Bistro. I will be carrying a Sean O'Hare Splice in Afzelia burl and a Joel Chamblin stag sleeveboard whittler, both in matching hand forged Mike Norris Fire Clone stainless damascus.

Thanks Peter! It doesn't get much nicer than that "Snake Wood" my friend

And nice reflection, bolster wise ;)

Still my Lloyd slimline, but added this one to my left pocket today. No reason, just a two knife day.

Oh that little Ohta is lovely indeed.

Quick aside, those are monkey's fist lanyards right? Does anyone know of a quick tutorial on how to tie them?

- Christian

Christian, I think that's the Lanyard/Diamond/Friendship knot.
I use this for all my knives, but adjust the knot real tight and cut the loose ends flush.

This website is an outstanding resource for knots (links straight to know in question)

I downloaded the app for my iPhone and its proved handy for work a few times. I'm not a knot-head so it's good to be able to have this reference.

That's a great EDC composition too isn't it?

Well, it's still morning on the West Coast and I'm only on my second cup of coffee. I'll mostly be at church this afternoon and will be dressed for an occasion. This Queen dogleg jack will likely be in my pocket. (If ya wear black 5-pocket jeans, it still looks nice but it gives you decent sized pockets.)

Grandpa smoked lucky strikes all his life so anytime I see them I think of him. I never particularly liked smoking myself but memories of Pap are always good, thank you for that.

It was a pleasure for me giving you some memories to your grandpa. That ones pictured are without filters, so this might be actually the ones your grandpa used to smoke during some time of his life.

Smoking is no good at all, I know... I almost tried several time to quit, but it never worked. However - there are things that are worse.

Pretty nice knives get some pocket time today... thanks for sharing, fellows :)
