Good eye GT! I totally agree. You don’t see blade stamping much and it makes for a unique and special knife. One of my favorite Case Classics. Thanks for the compliment!
Steve, it's actually pretty easy to locate (and then quote, if desired) any recent instances of posters quoting or mentioning yourself by using the "Alerts" list (the bell-shaped icon next to the Search button in the "menu bar" at the top of the page.Gary, I don't know how you do it, just generally speaking. After 3 days, it's hard just to look and see what everyone else has been carrying.

That's a cool project that has never gotten beyond the wish stage for me (except I bought a big jar full of old wooden jenga-like blocks - about 1"x1"x3" - at a junk store)!Today's carry. Pretty new to whittling. My first major project is to make a cool handmade chess set. I started with an opinel no. 6 but this pocket carver is blowing me away with how good it feels/carves.

Christmas is creeping up on us so I doubt I’ll be buy any new knives for a while…that’s going to make it easier for me. Plus I’ve been wishing for a GEC Scout knife for a very long time. 99% of the time my cutting chores are handled with a SAK anyway, so I’m looking at the JOTS as a “classier”version of a Vic. I can do thisHahaha... "Good Luck", I've never been able to pull it off.![]()
The Boy Scouts and MacGyver taught me everything I know.Very utilitarian.

Thanks Gary! I know about the alert bell, but it's really more the amount of time involved. This thread moves fast and I like to look and see what everyone else is carrying, and comment, but time is something I don't often have a lot of and it's sometimes hard to keep up.Some Tuesday treats that caught my eye.

That blue Taramundi is in a league of its own!!Is that a Damascus steel blade?
That's a cool project that has never gotten beyond the wish stage for me (except I bought a big jar full of old wooden jenga-like blocks - about 1"x1"x3" - at a junk store)!Do you have some kind of formal pattern for the chess pieces, or are you creating them "from your mind's eye"? Do you have 2 different kinds of wood for the black pieces and the white pieces, or will you get 2 colors via staining/painting?
Good luck with your long-term carry challenge,Lee D !
I like seeing so many folks doing some serious carry of their recently-released GEC scout knives. It makes me feel better about my 60-year love affair with my Colonial Forest-Master!

The summer was so hot and dry. We had some rain last week, and it seems all the plants are taking the chance to do their thing before winter. Even the eggplants in my garden, that I thought were dead, have started a new round of blossoms. I'm hoping for a fall crop.Weird!Nice photo though
