Did you loan your old Camillus Serpentine Jack to Charlie when he was designing the DJ?
Great knife, Jer. It looks like it just came off the shelf at Sears hardware.
It’s a good thing you added that work knife, Harry. If something needed cutting, it would have gotten away before you could get one of those Barlows out of it’s slip!Went to our Dentist this morning and had these two Russell Commemorative Barlows in my pockets . Top one made by Colonial and the bottom one made by Boker ??? Carried in Slips .

Then this afternoon , I added my Sudmaster just in case I needed to cut something .

That’s gorgeous!Bayonne Knife Co. Dating over 100 yrs old this is easily the oldest knife in my collection. Crack free yet worn bone indicates to me that someone gave it a lot of pocket time and use, yet it's still tight and snappy after all those years.

Thanks, my friend. Yep, everybody should have a 54, unless they wear skinny jeans. That is such a cool knife, Jeff. I wish GEC would use that linen micarta on another run, I love the color and look of it after some use. Would like to see it on an equal end pattern like yours, say another 54 or 35 with the clip blade. Oh, and with the hotdog shield again too.![]()

Thanks John and your correct. The Ancient is the looker but ironically it did the cutting tasks yesterday (albeit minor)Hard to beat that pair, Paul... both are wonderful, and I assume it's one to use hard and one to look super pretty.
Man that's a beautiful knife!!Good Morning Porch Friends and Happy Wooden Wednesday

Disheartening isn’t it? Hopefully the fishing community can stop the dumping and allow the river to heal. Thanks buddy, I was thinking of you earlier, when I was reading this article in the UK news![]()

Strange time for natureThe summer was so hot and dry. We had some rain last week, and it seems all the plants are taking the chance to do their thing before winter. Even the eggplants in my garden, that I thought were dead, have started a new round of blossoms. I'm hoping for a fall crop.
Cool pic Dave
Have a good Wooden Wednesday JohnGood Morning Porch Friends and Happy Wooden Wednesday

I hope so Todd, the fishing community have a very low profile here, despite still being pretty large, and that's the first article I've seen like that in the mainstream news. They did a great deal to clean up the rivers in the 60's and 70's, and deserve more credit than they get I reckonDisheartening isn’t it? Hopefully the fishing community can stop the dumping and allow the river to heal.
That looks nice Todd, I can think of a Lambsfoot that will pair well with it!I have this one with me. It will get apple duty at lunch today at lunch. I have to get the patina going.View attachment 1930365
