Who’s ready for fall?
Seeing those baseball cards reminds me that growing up in Omaha I knew and went to high school with Bob Gibson‘s oldest daughter. Bob grew up in Omaha and I used to see him and his family at swimming pool our families belonged to. First met him when I was 7 or 8. I just remembered how BIG his hand was when he shook mine. I wish he would have played longer but when MLB in their infinite wisdom lowered the mound he decided to call it a career. But man he could sling it!View attachment 1935069
Who’s ready for fall?
Appreciate the extra info! So 50s or early 60s, gotcha. Twice my age! I definitely prefer the prop wood to that delrinThat knife was advertised as 'propwood.' The term WondaWood came a little later. It was advertised in the catalogs with the Schrade Walden tang stamps from 1953 through 1973. After the Delrin revolution it came with what I call 'barnwood' Delrin covers. This was about 1961-1962. The 3 5/16" Schrade stockman came in perhaps at least more than a hundred variations.

It doesn’t look like you’re too old to me. That’s fine work.
Years from now, your son will be helping his kids, and he’ll remember you.
That’s some fine work! Looks good!
Trust me my friend, I understand all too well.Thank you guys.It isn't that I have gotten afraid of hard work, it's my aching body that complains about the work I am no longer used to doing.
.................. and Elijah J. ain't so fond of it neither.
