Your polish job came out great on that one, Jon. 👍
Thanks Bart, nice of you to lie about the quality of my pictures - you should see the sad, shattered phone that takes them. The subject matter is hopefully quality though. It's awesome to see your kid having so much fun all the time, encouraging their interests is the best way to keep them out of the worst kinds of trouble I think?

Grabbed these two this morning. The best thing about a polished 1095 blade, to me, is the way it shows patina. 🥰. Now this Dalibor needs some carry time to earn its own colors. Here's hoping we all make the most of our Mondays ☕
Thanks, Frederick. I try to support their interests and have fun with it. It helps that we have similar interests 🙂

I love the eureka jack and the little fixed blade is cool too 👍
Hope everyone has a great day. 😊👍View attachment 1941751
I love that one, Todd 👍

Very cool, Harry. The Sandhill cranes are starting to show up here. I always enjoy hearing them flying over.

I’ve got to stop getting behind in this thread! 😵‍💫

Angus Jack again, and I added the Cattle Knife

Beefy! 🤣

The pencils here are usually barrel shaped, but these are Blackwings, which have always, to my knowledge, used the flattened eraser, which prevents it from rolling.

I enjoy a nicely sharpened wooden pencil, although I don’t use them all that often. Those have quite the pedigree, but I’ve never tried them out. Are they worth the price?

I’d completely forgotten about those sabre-ground #85s. Don’t feel like you seem them much.

What more could ya need? 😉

Dang that’s a good looking knife! 😎 I’ve never handled one of Mike’s knives; looks like it’s probably nice and thin behind the edge, and I can always appreciate a nice, deep sharpening choil.

Thanks Will, I've always liked the Weaver Jack. Today it was the Farm Boy and Lyle's Lick Creek

Paul, you know I always have to say something when I see a #15 Farm Boy. 😁 Great pair!

That does look like it would handy for storing a lot of knives, Harry. We went to a flea market/swap meet sort of thing this past weekend, and I saw a couple things that could work for knife storage (including some HUGE old card catalog cabinets like 5K Qs 5K Qs was asking about in the Lounge the other day), but I didn’t find anything that was quite was I was looking for to expand my own storage.

I’ve been carrying this pair for over a week now. Probably about time to make a change, but they’ve worked well together. The sheepsfoot has done a lot of small tasks, and the Bull Buster has mostly been on apple duty. We took the kids to an apple orchard weekend before last and came back with a bunch of Honeycrisps. Scout likes her apples sliced, while Eleanor (like myself) prefers to just go for it.

Here’s another tasty treat from the apple orchard last week. They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but I’m not sure how a bucket of fried cheese curds affects that. 😉 (We also had apple fritters.) 😁
