The old upright piano has to go. It came free via my sister-in-law who somehow picked off a curb for free. Moved it from our old house to this one 35 some years ago. It took me and my sons and brother’s in law to get it in here, and now, alone, it’s near impossible to get it outside.
I’m attempting to dismantle it in the living room. Very interesting and intricate construction. Although there’s a lot of mahogant veneer, I’m saving any solid wood
Don't forget to check the keys for Ebony and Ivory Jeff! Would make some nice inlay on your guitar... With the crazy price of hardwood these days maybe I finally look less insane for hoarding salvage lumber in my basement for decades.

Thanks, Frederick. I try to support their interests and have fun with it. It helps that we have similar interests 🙂

I love the eureka jack and the little fixed blade is cool too 👍
Welcome Bart! Interesting people are interested in fun things - like skating, and Eureka Jacks!

This is turning out a great carry pair for around the house today. I love tiny knives!

Who made the electricians TL-29 knife with jigged bone?

This one was a late model Camillus with black scales. I took cow bone from the doggy treat aisle at Walmart ~ the kind that comes as a section about five or six inches long by two or three inches in diameter, and cut scales from that. I’ve had good luck with that bone. Besides knife scales, I’ve cut guitar nuts out of it. It’s hard and dense, and polishes nicely.

But to answer your broader question, I know at least two companies made TL-29s in jigged bone ~ Camillus and PAL. Others likely did, but I only have one of each of those. If I recall right, both are steel lined, which means WWII era, when brass was going to cartridge casings. PAL got into knife production then, as Remington went 100% guns and ammo, and sold all their tooling and jigs to PAL.

Catteraugas made them as well, I have two of them.

First day on my belt. The Boker Brook is a looker for sure! Came nice and shiny and sharp! VG-10 is a decent steel. I really like the jimping on the spine. I think all small fixed blades should be made with it. Paired with my EJ it should be all I'd need.
Not real crazy about the sheath, although the retention is good, the belt attachment is not acceptable to me. I replaced it with a small Tek-Lok. It was an easy swap. Much better now.

First thing I thought of too, but sadly, they’re plastic, and the black keys are just black paint.308A82B2-E670-4DFD-B8CF-B1DCD4AB0E1E.jpeg

We got home about fifteen minurts ago and on our excursion we stopped at the Indian Reservation for gas. It was $5.39.9 a gallon and I took on 15-gallons. A quick 80 dollars and change. As we were pulling out of the gas station I said to myself: "The heck with it we're going for a ride. So, Cindy and I took off with my trusty Scout Trapper in tow and drove over to an area of the county we haven't been to in a couple/three years because of the Pandemic and my surgery. Put about 75-miles on the truck and burned/wasted about five gallons of gas. Felt good to scoff at the gas prices/situation we have today. Once again the star of our journey -

I went far to far today, double what I usually can manage due to circumstaces.

But oh my what a road trip, from winds near blowing me over and slowing me to 10pm to riding across Aragon which was stunning.

This place was magic I had to stop to take it in,it’s what I come to Spain for.

The towns are great but it’s the places in between I love (and many others miss).

Man that chest or cabinet or whatever ya call it is AMAZING!!! It's perfect for a knife collection. With that much space and that many drawers, I could get some more knives and not even feel guilty 🤣
Even at the price that they want now , I could have saved some money from what I have spent on other wooden cabinets to store mine in . I would have made a Space for it somewhere .
