What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Same knife as yesterday, but I thought I’d share something that surprised me as I’ve never seen a patina develop so quickly. The boss brought everyone sandwiches and potato salad for a crew meeting. I grabbed a ham and cheese along with a couple of those little Heinz mustard packets. There was nothing to spread the mustard, so I used my Johnny on the Spot. I sat the knife down while I ate my sandwich (10 minutes time), picked the knife up to wipe the blade with a moist towelette, and this is what I found…

I’ve forced a patina before, but never has it developed so quickly…evidently those little Heinz packets are the key to a rapid change lol, I’m just disappointed. I want some color and not this accidental, dark, blotchy, and boring look.
Something something cut the mustard, something.

Great picture !

My old Cattaraugus Carpenters Whittler is riding in my watch pocket today.
I expect it is at least as old as me ................................ and after looking in the mirror, I think it has weathered those years quite a bit better than I have. Still snappy and spunky. 😊
