Thanks for the link! Maybe we’ll bump it up to page one. This one hasn’t surfaced in a while, feel free to fire it back up! My old post looks to have lost its pic somewhere along the way, it seems, but I’ve got at least a few of each to add in there as well!
The Guitars (or any other musical instrument) and Traditional Knives Picture Thread
A few of us were posting knives with guitars in the "What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?" thread and I thought it would be nice to have a thread of pictures of traditional knives and musical instruments. Post what ever you play (or don't play) with a traditional knife from an Alembic...www.bladeforums.com

You bet, my friend. It was easy to id because it’s the only green onion I planted this year.…but my wife said, "Don't act like an idiot."
Thanks for the ID, Jeff; amazing that you can even tell the variety from my photo!Maybe I should recommend these Guardsman green onions to the Guardians of the Lambsfoot. In my backyard, if I let them grow, the white part/bulb gets quite thick, and the green part/leaves/stem gets really tall. I usually use at least 6 inches more of the green than I showed in that photo.

Great minds!Starting my day with this 18. Has a nice patina going. Hope everyone has a great day.View attachment 1951232

My Mom was like that. Walk into a room full of strangers, leave with a bunch of new friends.I'm the same way, Gary. My wife is always rolling her eyes as I am meeting and talking to new people everywhere we go.

Flitz it!Same knife as yesterday, but I thought I’d share something that surprised me as I’ve never seen a patina develop so quickly. The boss brought everyone sandwiches and potato salad for a crew meeting. I grabbed a ham and cheese along with a couple of those little Heinz mustard packets. There was nothing to spread the mustard, so I used my Johnny on the Spot. I sat the knife down while I ate my sandwich (10 minutes time), picked the knife up to wipe the blade with a moist towelette, and this is what I found…
I’ve forced a patina before, but never has it developed so quickly…evidently those little Heinz packets are the key to a rapid change lol, I’m just disappointed. I want some color and not this accidental, dark, blotchy, and boring look.
Great minds!

Use it more. It will all even out.Same knife as yesterday, but I thought I’d share something that surprised me as I’ve never seen a patina develop so quickly. Wow! Nice one, Jack. Is that ironwood?
Thanks, Gary. Good eye. Yes, they are swans, but I’ve never seen them do anything with the cattle. I imagine when they’re nesting they might be a little aggressive. Are those swans on the water? Do they try to bully the cattle? The black cattle, white waterfowl, blue sky/water, and yellow 3318 make a great photo!

This has always been one of my favorite Bucks since I saw a friend carrying one in grad school and somehow it has evaded my collection. Maybe next year. Nice light in your pic, too!Nothing planned today not even a run up to the mailbox. This Buck 501 should take care of whatever comes up. Sausage and eggs up for breakfast.

That’s honest, user’s patina, and I don’t think it’s boring. I think one can usually tell a working patina from a fancy pants pretty one.Same knife as yesterday, but I thought I’d share something that surprised me as I’ve never seen a patina develop so quickly.
