What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Guten Morgen mit Kaffee und Ottermesser!

I'm considering having my initials engraved on the rivets in the handle. Or maybe some other symbols. There's a jeweler in town who does good work on miniatures and the like. Thoughts?

Zieg
Servus Herr Zieg(e)!

Ich schlage "KFS" vor.

Krumpeter Fetzen Schädl.

Roughly means "goofball" in Salzburgisch. 👍😉

That’s beautiful. I’ve restored a rifle or two, and carefully preserve rack numbers and other things like Rhodesian camo, even though it is usually mostly worn off.
Camillus Lineman ….I am amazed by the f&f on what was a working man’s everyday knife. One of my absolute favorites….

Spring is here and a surprise in the garden this morning….

Love to see snakes in and around my garden, because I know they’re gorging on mice and chipmunks. No venonmous or constructor types around these parts…
Very nice TL-27! They are so well made, aren’t they?

LT Wright stag small fixed blade. Found a thicket of arrow wood viburnum in the middle of the woods, cut some straight shoots to make arrows.
After the shoots season for about 5 months I'll remove the bark, reduce to proper diameter and straighten with heat. They make good, durable primitive style arrows.

I planted an Arrowood Viburnum years ago. I should try arrowmaking. In my spare time.
I concur with your like for the Oregon Trapper!
Of all the knives that I own, these two best represent Autumn colors to me. The leaves are nearing their peak colors here, which has occurred must sooner than last year. Might be the dry September we had. Have a fine Sunday everyone. 😊

Funny. The leaves have barely started here. Only the walnuts, which are always the first to turn and drop.

Is this a festival or some cool historical event?

Beautiful (presumably) family, by the way. 😀
Yes they are big on Knights/castles in Burgos swords are sold etc. and they dress up for this festival.

its in this area one of the most interesting in Spain.

Castilla y León

One of the destinations with the greatest natural diversity in Europe, spectacular monuments, the most complete gastronomy... this is how this region of inland Spain is sure to excite you.

Many of its destinations must be visited, such as Ávila, Salamanca and Segovia (three World Heritage Cities) and unique places such as the Cathedral of Burgos or the Atapuerca Archaeological Site, with testimonies of the first settlers of Europe. The famous Camino de Santiago also passes through Castilla y León, one of the most important pilgrim routes in the world.

Corn Fed Corn Fed ~ it’s a ‘76 Fender Pro Reverb. I bought the chassis off ebay, bought some spendy, but worth it, NOS tubes, and took it to a good tech. He went through it completely, I think he replaced a drifting resistor or two, and recapped it. I got the cherrywood from my buddy. It came from the paneling in a lawyer’s office here in Woodstock (Illinois). He has a complete cabinet shop in his barn, so he cut the finger joints for me.

Thanks for asking!
