Your two Tuesday sweet slicers look wonderful as a pairing; I'm sure the classic old steel Alfred Blackwell blade holds an amazing edge, too!Old Alfred Blackwell, and a Random Tuesday Ancient Barlow![]()

Ha! I've never seen one of those, either... I have one with the same covers on it, but a clip main sitting here on the table beside my recliner.... it takes an incredible edge...Kutmaster Barlow - I don’t think this one has been used much before if at all. I really like the sheepsfoot blade which I haven’t seen that often on a Barlow but I am far from an expert on them…..

Thanks and happy birthday to your daughter and your Dad.Well Happy birthday to your daughter
My daughter is 19 tomorrow on the 13th, my Dad's birthday too.
Thank you. It’s scary, isn’t it? Not only is she a teenager now, but my “little” girl is 5’5” already.I’m not far behind you bro. I’ve got two 12 yr olds on a collision course with teendom as well! HBD to your little girl!
Thanks, Todd. You’ll be a grandpa before you know it!Happy birthday to your daughter Bart. Seems like such a short time ago my daughter turned 13…and yet she graduated college last spring. Goes too fast.![]()

It's a regular Sheffield pattern Barrett, but the Butler is nicer than the others I have (mainly Harrison Fisher)That’s an interesting knife, Jack. Curious shape to that caplifter.![]()

While I was trying to get a (different) photo with the leaves in the background, I tripped and fell stepping over a low garden wall we have in front of the house and bashed my shin/knee on the concrete block. I dropped the knife and my phone (thankfully neither were damaged). My knee isn’t feeling too great at the moment, but I think it’ll be alright, just a bit scraped up and bruised. And of course the photo I was trying to get didn’t even work out.![]()
Handsome knife Todd, that's some nice pumpkin carving
Many thanks JJ, you can't beat that good, old steelThanks a lot, Jack!!!
