What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I have a Case Texas Jack with a similarly damaged pen blade (Can only assume someone decided to pry something with the tip). I re-shaped it into a short coping or sheep foot blade profile, and have found it a very useful little stubby blade for whittling and opening packages. Just enough nail nick on mine to open it still - looks like you would still have most of yours if you did that.
A short, straight edge is very handy. All I did to this one is sharpen it and slightly round the top corner of the spine so it doesn't wear a hole in my pocket.

Up a bit early today. Our big dog Coco isn't doing well so, I'll give her the hands on attention she's craving right now. We're suppose to go to town in a bit so Cindy can get her hair done but I might just send her alone so I can stay home with Coco. She's getting old and stiff in the joints so some extra attention from me is called for. errrrrrrr, talking about the dog not Cindy. Anyway, no matter what we do I'll be toting my new Jack Knife. Eggs and sausage for breakfast.

Hopefully Coco is feeling better soon.

I used the little hawkbill this morning to refine a Horace Kephart hardwood peg that I drove into a 2x4 at the farm last week. I'd left it a bit thick for its purpose because I really didn't expect it to work so easily and well.
I've got this one on me now.
