What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Real nice, Dan.

Betcha there’s someting in there. That’s exactly how Manny looks at the woodpile when he knows there’s a mouse or Alvin hiding out. He keeps at it until they finally make a break for it, and he gets him.

Had to look them over like a hawk to make your choice?
Thank you sir. I won an auction for the 863 recently. I put down a low bid and then forgot about it until I got an email telling me that I had won. It looks basically unused but there are small cracks right under the spring pins on both sides. I think people were probably put off by that, but the cracks seem stable and the knife is in otherwise great shape.

Outstanding pair

Thank you Jack!

Hope everyone is having a good day :) What could be better than a Double Lambsfoot Day?! :D ;)

I’ve been real busy lately. Carrying this because it’s a favorite and I’m going to get time and inspiration to carve something soon. Today was also a significant day for the Chiefs Call to Initiation process so my self modded zippo seemed appropriate.

Thank you, Jack. :)

Sweet picture, my friend. 🤠
Thanks a lot pal :)

Excellent pairing Steve
Thanks for the encouraging words regarding my rosewood lambsfoot knives, Rufus & John & Jeremy & Jack. :)
Jack, that sign is for a street that "should be" less than 3/4 mile east of where I live. But the street "dead ends" several times in the 2 miles I'm aware of, starting up again a block or two after it starts. There are a couple of Rosewood Ave signs that I thought would be especially nice for photos, since the signpost seemed unusually short, and I thought I'd be able to place knives right on the sign. But it turns out that even the "low signs" I had in mind were still above the reach of a 5'9" (and shrinking) geezer! o_O:oops::mad:

There was a road like that behind our house when I was a kid Gary, it had originally been a quarry loop road, which ran from about a quarter mile one side of our house, to about 3/4 mile up the road. The quarry was an old stone quarry, and by the time I was a kid, it was more or less worked out, but the road was blocked for much of its length, so at one side there was a quarter mile or so of a dead-end road, and at the other, it was just 50 yards long, but the roads had the same name, until one of them was renamed in the late 70's. I used to climb on the old quarry as a kid, and was a little fascinated by the idea of the lost road (there were 2 other abandoned roads too), so I was quite interested by the renaming, not least because they originally got the signs the wrong way round! :D
Glad you had a good day Jack, two very nice Lambs.
Thank you very much Bob :)

Finally worked up the gumption to sharpen and carry this Davison, and so very glad I did. What a scalpel! Thought it made a nice contrasting pair with my perpetually filthy Cowbell.

First use, push cuts through masking tape like it's not there, steers well for a hollow grind. Obviously this task required a fancy custom built slipjoint, especially if my wife asks 😁. I want everyone to know I did not pay 29.95 for that old turntable, talked them down to 10$ because I need knife money 😅 Happy Thursday Porch friends!
What a great pairing!
Jack is that true, you can't purchase knives on ebay?
WOW!
Yeah, been like that for over a decade now :( I don't know why ebay changed their rules, which I think apply to the whole of Europe
Double Lambs are cool! 😎😎 Really like the Lamb compass shot!😎
Thank you kind sir :)

American Shear. I love your skill at finding these beautiful and rare oldies, Rachel.
Thanks, Jeff. New knives are great, but the rare oldies are my favorites.
If you look at the hawkbill closely, you can see where some moron ran a Dremel wheel all over the side of the blade. I should fix that. But for now, it’s razor sharp, and does the job.View attachment 1977386View attachment 1977387View attachment 1977388
"Chicks dig scars."

That is an almost perfect image of a barn owl face and a pretty good image of an alien with one good eye and a patch over the other. Attractive lamb ! 😍

This week I'm carrying my knives with lambsfoot blades. I don't have enough of them to choose a Top Ten, so I'm totin' all of them. Here are the two I have with rosewood covers.

Pretty pair of lambs GT and Mr. Jack says 2 lambs is hard to beat.😊 I can't disagree.🤔

Thanks, Mr Rob!
I buy all my jeans (actally, ALL of my clothes, even the Harris Tweed sports jacket I wear at weddings and funerals), mostly Wranglers at seconhand shops. Usually about $9.00, and usually close to new. And I do tear them up. The holes are always in the same places ~ the knees from kneeling in the garden, and in front of the pocket from totin knives.
The fake reliced jeans the kids buy all have holes in places where holes never happen🤪.

Gorgeous knives and pics as always.

Thank you Jeff and you can fix that, but, it won't be easy !😊 Nice Opinel too !

Rolling with the 88 Ace today.

Thank you Mr. Jack and I can answer your question of "what could be better than a double Lambsfoot day"? .............
That would be a day with two Lambsfoots and a piece of your yum-yum-yum cake !;) (Sorry ......... I got that new Apple iPad commercial yum-yum-yum song stuck in my head.🤣)

Oh boy !!! ............. that's a really nice Steingass. Love the spalted maple ! 😲 😍 What's the OAL of the EDC ?🤔

WOW Travis. 😲😲😲

Your knife might be crowned Grand Champion critter infested knife of the year at "Primble's Knife handle figuring contest" next year ............... or the year after. I tried to count all the critters and kept getting a slight headache. Definitely a smiling Hippopotamus face on the mark side. (to the right of the EO notch):thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:😊

Love the shield too !
