What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Mostly flying my desk today. We had Coco at the Vet yesterday and she is coming along nicely - shine back in her coat and bright shiny eyes and much more perky. Snowed again last night so I'll go out and shovel some snow later. This Lambfoot will do. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

Glad Coco is recovering.

You may not have many....but those are two very fine examples.👍
Beautiful and Useful Lambs, GT. 🤠
Two fine lambs you have there GT.
Cool sign Gary :D
Thanks for the encouraging words regarding my rosewood lambsfoot knives, Rufus & John & Jeremy & Jack. :)
Jack, that sign is for a street that "should be" less than 3/4 mile east of where I live. But the street "dead ends" several times in the 2 miles I'm aware of, starting up again a block or two after it starts. There are a couple of Rosewood Ave signs that I thought would be especially nice for photos, since the signpost seemed unusually short, and I thought I'd be able to place knives right on the sign. But it turns out that even the "low signs" I had in mind were still above the reach of a 5'9" (and shrinking) geezer! o_O:oops::mad:

You're welcome Jeff, I may even have a pair squirrelled away somewhere :)

Outstanding pair

 🤣🤣🤣

Many thanks my friend, I am rather embarrassed by the sheep shears pic! :D

It's great to see those old favourites JJ :)

Superb photos Mr P, not to mention the subject matter!

Cool sign Gary :D

Ace pairing Gary, your Steingass is a peach

Fantastic photo John :)

Very cool Pete  :)

Nice pairing :) RR/Marbles knives aren't quite as thrifty here, but I quite like that wee Sheepie, and picked one up myself :)

Good-looking pair Jer :)

Hope everyone is having a good day :) What could be better than a Double Lambsfoot Day?! :D ;)

Glad you had a good day Jack, two very nice Lambs.

Finally worked up the gumption to sharpen and carry this Davison, and so very glad I did. What a scalpel! Thought it made a nice contrasting pair with my perpetually filthy Cowbell.

First use, push cuts through masking tape like it's not there, steers well for a hollow grind. Obviously this task required a fancy custom built slipjoint, especially if my wife asks 😁. I want everyone to know I did not pay 29.95 for that old turntable, talked them down to 10$ because I need knife money 😅 Happy Thursday Porch friends!

Classic spear blade👌

Nice. There’s always some thought, dare I say artistic sensibility, that goes into our knife photos. This pic of yours reminds me of something that pops into my head ~ which blade goes on top? Does it signify anything? Is it an eenymeenymineymo looking for randomeness? I need to refill my coffee cup.

Cool knife! And I love the old log in the process of returning to the soil.

Same thing I said about Jeremy’s spear blade.

Thanks, Mr Rob!
I buy all my jeans (actally, ALL of my clothes, even the Harris Tweed sports jacket I wear at weddings and funerals), mostly Wranglers at seconhand shops. Usually about $9.00, and usually close to new. And I do tear them up. The holes are always in the same places ~ the knees from kneeling in the garden, and in front of the pocket from totin knives.
The fake reliced jeans the kids buy all have holes in places where holes never happen🤪.

I’ve had the great fortune of meeting some BF friends in person, thanks to Harry @Old Engineer, and yes. It’s a great time. The beverage of choice has always been coffee, though.

There’s a certain honesty in carrying just one knife, and an SAK will do just fine.

I looked up JJ Martine on google, and got some unrelated results.

Gorgeous knives and pics as always.

American Shear. I love your skill at finding these beautiful and rare oldies, Rachel.

Thanks. I was curious.
Had to go out & do a few things, sak covers most things.
You are right Jeff but it's so hard to choose just 1.😩😃

Treasure it! :)

Fascinating!

I thought this might be of interest

Some really interesting historic cutlery

The one above reminded of me of this (from when we could still purchase knives from ebay)! :D ;)

Jack is that true, you can't purchase knives on ebay?
WOW!

Real nice, Dan.

Sak Waiter and Schrade LB5. Jack found this area most interesting.

Betcha there’s someting in there. That’s exactly how Manny looks at the woodpile when he knows there’s a mouse or Alvin hiding out. He keeps at it until they finally make a break for it, and he gets him.
